Shannon Meacham, Pastor On the web at: Flower Ministry Begins Just about every Sunday throughout the year, there is a beautiful flower arrangement in the sanctuary for worship. Some weeks these flowers are donated by an individual/family who is remembering someone who is or was a meaningful part of their life. In the same way, there are members of our Ashland Church family who can no longer join us at worship whether due to illness, age, or they have moved out of the area. It was decided that on a monthly basis, the flowers from the sanctuary will be taken or delivered to these folks. Julee Ward has offered to coordinate this process with Cecil Weber in the church office to identify weeks where there is no flower sponsorship. Julee, along with Margie Berlin, JoAnn Ruther, and Penny DeBoer, met with Pastor Shannon to organize this effort and identify folks to include in this ministry. 3 Eagle Scout Projects Two Eagle Scout projects were completed over the past month. The first project was a repainting of the walls in the hallways of the Preschool. Many of you contributed funds to help support this Eagle Scout s project. Here are a couple of pictures of what the hallways look like now: The second project was completed by Eagle Scout Brandon Duran from Scout Troop #927, a special needs troop. They installed raised flower beds and painted the picnic table behind Fellowship Hall. Here are pictures of their handiwork:
