4 Athenian Leadership Society Dialogue 31 Days: Gerald Ford, the Nixon Pardon, and a Government in Crisis By Barry Werth Thursday, March 2, a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Location: Gerald R. French, MMC City Clerk, City of Hillsdale, MI A very special Athenian Dialogue will be held in conjunction with the IIMC Region V conference scheduled for March 2-4, The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum will be the site of the Dialogue which will focus on one of the most turbulent and scandalous times in our nation s history, as told by Barry Werth. The Dialogue has been planned to utilize the museum staff s expertise, historical displays, and the book, to create a comprehensive review of the first 31 days of President Ford s term. We will look at President Ford s childhood from his earliest days at South High School in Grand Rapids, his football career at the University of Michigan, his rise in political power to the United States House of Representatives, and culmination as his selection as Vice-President, and later President of our country. The Dialogue will be a hands-on learning experience that you won t want to miss! Participants must obtain and read book prior to the Dialogue Reserve immediately! Class size is limited to 30 people
