YOUR COUGAR CARD IS USED FOR A VARITY OF PURPOSES: MEAL PLAN AND COUGAR CASH (SWIPE CARD FOR MEALS AND COUGAR CASH USAGE) ACCESS TO BUILDINGS/REC & WELLNESS CENTER/SPORTING EVENTS FLEX ACCOUNT YOUR CAMPUS DEBIT ACCOUNT/ADD $$ TO ACCOUNT TEST TAKING BARNES & NOBLE AND COUGAR BYTE DISCOUNTS PRINTING EVERY SEMESTER STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF RECEIVE FREE PRINTING PRIVILEGES IN MD ANDERSON LIBRARY (1 ST FLOOR) = $7.50 (STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY COMMONS IN RESIDENTIAL PRINTING LABS = $7.50 (STUDENTS) LIMITED COLLEGE SPECIFIC PARTICIPATING LABS = $ DETERMINED BY EACH LOCATION
5 What services do we offer? COUGAR CARD OFFICE Wireless Readers - Are you having an event and would like to digitally track attendance? We have Wireless Cougar Card readers/card swipes that may be rented annually or per each event by the UH community. We provide training to use the devices and your attendance report after the event. UH Guest Cards Do you have a non-uh Group that needs access to cougar card services? Guest Cards are available for purchase and can be loaded with any amount of money to Flex Accounts. Housing Summer Guest Cards are available for purchase and can be loaded with camp meals and Flex Accounts.

7 WHAT IS A FLEX ACCOUNT AND HOW DO I GET ONE? A Flex Account is a campus debit account! Flex Account funds are restricted to on campus purchases ONLY. Flex Accounts are assigned to all actively enrolled students and actively employed faculty and staff. Deposits can be made online through AccessUH or in person at the Cougar Card Office using cash or credit card.

17 FY2018 KEY PRIORITIES Online Photo Submission Program We would like hold focus group meetings in January 2018 Potential groups from communities represented by our committee members: Student Housing Staff Faculty Walk-In Clients
18 FY2018 KEY PRIORITIES Evaluate/Update Departmental Service Fees Our current fee structure charges for lost/replacement fee of $10 to our student population only We are researching other Universities - both inside and outside of Texas Other Universities charge students for new cards as well as faculty/staff along with charging for lost/replacement cards We will need committee involvement to develop more robust fees that will be comparable to the advanced technologies that we will be implementing with our campus card system and multi-technology smart card We will share our research at our November meeting
