He brought an amazing plant raffle table. He definitely has some beautiful plants. Our speaker for our March 4th meeting at Deicke will be Mark Edland of Orchid Acres. He will be speaking on Dendrobiums but grows Vandas as well. We will be at Volunteer Park for Gardenfest on March 22 and 23. POS will have a booth and will have some donated plants for sale. Please clean out your garden and pot up some of your extras to sell at our booth. We received some great plants last year and hope to do better this year. We will also need some volunteers to sit at our booth that weekend. If you can volunteer please sign up at the next meeting. Our meetings will remain at Deicke Auditorium until the May meeting which will be at Volunteer Park. Our biggest events this year are the June 4th renewal Anniversary party and our October 1, 2013 Auction which will be at Volunteer Park. Please review the changes prior to the meeting. Take some time to stake and clean the leaves of your plants, this allows for better presentation. Also, please do not bring newly-purchased plants for the show table. The show table is an outlet for members to share the great job they have done in growing and flowering their orchids; therefore, please respect the unwritten rule of owning and growing an orchid for a minimum of 6 months.

5 OUR MARCH SPEAKER Mark Edlund from Orchid Acres Our speaker this month is Mark Edlund from Orchid Acres. Mark is a graduate of University of Florida. He has 20 years of experience with orchids. His nursery is 15,000 square feet. He specializes in Vandas, but also has various other types of orchids. He will speaking to us this month about dendrobiums. His nursery is located at th Ave S, Wellington, Florida.
