Leave it at the bar, or send us an at lodge530@mooseunits.org, and we ll start sending you weekly updates about what s going on around here! dessert auction OCTOBER 6th - 7:00 PM Yup, it s that time of year again...property taxes. Please come and bid on a dessert, and help us get em paid. Dessert donations are also greatly appreciated. For questions, please call the lodge ( ) FROM THE ADMINISTRATOR Hello Mooses! Summer is coming to a close. Hope y all got out and enjoyed the weather. It s been pretty nice! Rain s coming, but don t let that get you down. As the clouds and precipitation return, so do the events at the lodge! Speaking of events...october 6 will be our semi-annual Dessert Auction. This helps pay our property taxes, and is a much needed fund raiser. Also that night, we re drawing the winner of the 50/50 Roof Raffle. At this time the winning half of the pot is over $ Tickets are still available, and are $5 each. Prime Rib is back on October 6 as well. First dinner since June. There have been lots of people asking about it. Get here early to make sure you can get in on it. This will be one busy Friday! A word on the roof fund...since there s been some questions. There are currently two groups of money that make up our roof fund. First there s the Big 50/50 Raffle, which currently has around $8000 in it right now ($4,000 for the lodge, $4000 for the winning prize). There s also our roof fund that s made from donations, fund raisers (like the golf tournament), and weekly 50/50 drawings. We ve got $6,800 in that. So, when you add those together, we have over $10,000 collected for our roof so far, which is about 1/4 to 1/3 of what we need, depending on which contractor and type of roof we go with. If anyone ever has any questions concerning this project, please don t hesitate to ask me. We re also still gladly accepting donations to the roof fund. Another Friday dinner that makes a come back in October.Steak Night. Beginning October 20, I ll be doing New York Steak and/or Shrimp dinner every 3rd Friday. October 21 is another Shop & Sip. Come browse the vendors, and sip your favorite beverage...runs 5:00-10:00 Kathy is doing another Veteran s Dinner November 11. Alvin Jones & Crystal Pool Revival will be the band. More on that in the next newsletter. Don t forget to like our Facebook I post at least 3 times weekly as to what s going on here at the lodge. Lastly...a big congrats to Tim Nelson for putting on a very successful Golf Tournament. 10 teams played, and we raised around $2,800 for the roof fund. Way to go! Thanks to all who participated, volunteered, and donated prizes. Special thanks to Rocky Allen for the Fishing trip, and Dave Anderson for the Hood Canal retreat. Those two auction items made almost $500! See you here! BJ
