8 THE ALL SAINTS MONTHLY PAGE 8 Archives Committee Preserves the Past With Some Help From Modern Technology Jiffy Page loves to capture a good story. Her company, Pixorium, helps people preserve their photos, videos and mementoes in long-lasting digital formats in order to keep them safe and protected for future generations to enjoy and learn from. The Archives Committee at All Saints has many good stories to tell. Lead by Sug and Pat Patton, Ann Pearce, Carolyn Walker, Nancy Godfrey, Porter Hutto and Jane Vickers keep track of the history of our parish, the clergy, the buildings, the milestones, the parties, the publications. The archives, most of them original documents and photographs, are stored and often displayed in the library of Egleston Hall. When one who loves to capture a good story meets a group that are the keepers of great stories, it is a match made in heaven. Jiffy donated her time and Pixorium s resources to helping digitize over 100 photographs in the archives of All Saints. The net result of this capturing is that our archives are now stored in two places: in original format in their cases in the library and in digital format, helping preserve them in a way that will make it easier for future generations to enjoy them. The deadline for the September issue is Thursday, August 8. Please submissions to Lisa Bell-Davis at lbell-davis@allsaintsatlanta.org (please cc Noelle@allsaintsatlanta.org). Many thanks to the Archives Committee for their great work in keeping our parish memories alive. Grateful thanks to Jiffy for helping us to keep those precious memories safe for years to come!
