1 Scuttlebutt Dear Sooner Members, GREETINGS FROM WILL For those that were able to attend the annual 4th of July Parade in Bethany this year they were certainly treated to a fine parade and picnic. 15 cars lined up for this years event. David and Teresa Powell of the Heartland T's hosted the T's and the Sooners to an outdoor picnic under the shade trees in their back yard. Mark this one on your calendar for next year. This is definitely one to make. Just last week, the touring committee finalized their plans for the upcoming fall tour to Woodward. You will find a new link on the website for the 2014 Northwest Fall Tour. Take some time and look over what promises to be another outstanding event. The upcoming meeting on the 15th is of course the Ice Cream Social. Bill Harris promises to make whatever he makes every year. It has to be good because every time I get to the bucket it is always gone. For those that signed up to bring ice cream or desserts, please remember, as we ran a little short last year. On the 26th, Kent has planned an outing and tour to the National Cowboy and Heritage Center. The schedule is listed on the Event Calendar and will be in your Scuttlebutt as well. See you on the road, Will Langford FALL FOLIAGE TOUR Hosted by Sooner Model A Club, OKC October 16-19, 2014 The Fall Foliage Tour this year will be held in Western Oklahoma. The hotel will be Holiday Inn Express, The group rate is $99 + tax which does include breakfast. Please use Code MO1 when making reservations. You may make them now and the cutoff date for the special rate is October 1. You may sign up on the Sooner website or call or Bill Harris at bbharris@cox.net.
