Specific Provision/ group work Age Referrals/Contact Info (16+) Community Renewal Integrated Employability Service works across to help people to access employment, training, volunteering, and educational opportunities Granton Youth Centre Can provide intensive support for year olds Job searching and action planning, CV preparation, Application forms Interview skills, tips and advice, Information on training, Volunteering and educational opportunities No time limit on service (unlike adult service) Go Forth Individual support and groupwork for young people who may have difficulty finding or keeping a job. Go Forth can provide support in developing soft skills; confidence, resilience, well-being including counselling. Young people can drop into the office at any time to speak with someone or arrange an appt. 5 Provides a broad range of skills development opportunities, workfocused training and flexible employability support for unemployed and disadvantaged people in. Connected: Coaching Connected: Lifeskills Connected: Jumpstart Connected Workskills Tomorrow s People Trust Programme aims to help people get into work or training while developing their employability and teamwork skills through group volunteering projects within the community or have limited or no previous experience of work. 6 Volunteering Volunteer Centre Offer advice and information about local and city wide volunteering opportunities particularly for people who want to volunteer as a step towards employment. Support people into volunteering and into work, training and education. Young Person s Coach A young person s coach will work with young people to identify a volunteering placement to support career goals. Support will also be offered outside of volunteering to help young people set targets, work to achieve these goals and move towards employment. Activity Agreements Volunteering Programme 12 week programme working alongside an Activity Agreement Development Worker to find a placement that the young person will enjoy and find of benefit to them. 7 Business Mentoring Scottish Business in the Community (SBC) One to one mentoring for young people and adults to help with employability skills. SBC recruits, trains and discloses volunteers from their member businesses to work intensively with a person who wants to move on in their lives. The mentors help with fine tuning CVs so that they relate to the relevant job description, interview skills, confidence boosting and raising aspirations. The mentors can continue to support their mentee after they are in employment. SBC can offer mentors to work with clients aged SBC can also offer employer engagement opportunities such as: mock interview sessions, CV writing workshops, visits into business premises and careers awareness sessions which highlight the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be successful in their sector Referrals taken at anytime.
