1 XXXV. Armeekorps (XXXV Army Corps) This unit was formed in the summer of 939 as Grenzschutzabschnittskommando 3 and was converted to Gruppe Schenckendorff on September 5, 939- During the Polish campaign it occupied and secured the Poznan (Posen) area and was subsequently designated Hoheres Kommando XXXV. On January 9, 9*4-2, Hoheres" Kommando XXXV was redesignated XXXV. Armeekorps. From December 9^ to July 9^3 the Corps participated in offensive and defensive engagements in the Orel, Mtsensk, Novosil, Tula, Livny, and Maloarkhangelsk areas.
