A hardcopy is available in the Counseling Office by Mrs. Mohs. 2 *The WASHINGTON State Scholarship Search Website The WashBoard.org THERE ARE A LOT OF SCHOLARSHIPS LISTED ON THE WASHBOARD RIGHT NOW! This is a FREE website! Set up a profile and get going on scholarship applications! Washington State providers of scholarships advertise using the WashBoard. It's safe, saves you time, and s you scholarship opportunities that match your profile. Many Universities and Colleges in Washington State use this website to advertise their scholarships. 75% of your profile needs to be complete in order to receive good scholarship matches. 10th 12t *TRANSCRIPTS Transcript request forms are behind Mrs. Mohs in the Counseling Office. Leave your request to be sent out, or, pick them up at the box that says "Pick Up Transcripts Here." It can take up to three days to process your request so get them in early! *WASFA Eligibility for the Washington State Need Grant has expanded to low income, non citizen students who meet the program s income and residency requirements. Students unable to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) due to immigration status may instead complete the free Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) 12th OLYMPIC COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS!!! Create an account on the WashBoard.org and apply for various Olympic College Scholarships on line! EARLY SPRING TIME is busy time for these scholarships. TYPE IN 'OLYMPIC COLLEGE' in the 'Search Scholarship' box on the top right side of your WashBoard.org page. Many include all tuition paid. 12th WA State Governors' Scholarship for Foster Youth 2/28/2017 OPENS JANUARY 3, $2,000 4,000 a year for 5 years at eligible colleges in Washington. You must be or have been in state, tribal or federally recognized foster, group, or kinship care in the state of Washington, a min. 2.0 GPA, and have resided in WA State for at least 3 years prior to graduation. See website for all detailed information Washington State Opportunity Scholarship $2.5 $7K 2/28/2017 Full time student for the academic year at an eligible Washington State college or university. 3 Alden Landis Memorial Scholarship $3,500 The scholarship is intended for current high school students (grades 10 12) who demonstrate financial need and who successfully apply for enrollment in a summer study abroad, service trip, or a gap year program run by a 501(c)(3) public charity. Students must have financial need and plan to enroll full tine at a Washington State College or University. This scholarship will honor those students in financial need. Essay is to include how this scholarship will help you. Atsuhiko Tateuchi Memorial Scholarship $5000 Students must have financial need, academic merit and be of Japanese or other Asian ancestry, including multi ethnic Asians. Students from middle income families are encouraged to apply. This scholarship will be renewable for up to four years (undergraduate studies only). Applications are located in the counseling office school applicants 12th Hood Canal Salmon Center Stream Team Scholarship/Internship $1,500 3/31/2017 Are you a graduating high school senior in good academic standing who is planning on pursuing a degree in the natural sciences or related fields? You might want to consider a paid internship with the Pacific Northwest Salmon Center as part of The StreamTeam! Internships require a 400 hour commitment from June through the start of fall term and pays $9.47 $10 an hour. On completion of the summer internship commitment, a $1500 scholarship is also awarded. Nordstrom Fashion Ambassadors meet once a month, typically the first Saturday of the month. You also automatically receive a $1,000 scholarship to FIDM for being a part of the program! The Booster Club provides various scholarships to seniors that have chosen post secondary education at a college, university, or technical/vocational school. 8 Delta Sigma Theta Soroity, Inc $2,000 4/17/2017 The Seattle Alumnae Chapter will award 3 $2,000 scholarships to African American graduating HS Seniors that are pursuing higher education. This scholarship is in memory of Bertha Pitts Campbell as she exemplified outstanding leadership, academic excellence and community service. 2.5 Application in Counseling 12th Silverdale Dandy Lions Scholarship $250 One applicant from each high school in Central Kitsap will receive this award. It is NOT based primarily on community involvement and/or academic achievement.
