Webb Memorial 3/1/18 3/15/18 Enter monthly $200 Varsity Tutors runs a monthly $200 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is chosen to receive the scholarship. Interested students can enter the contest at $100 UniversityTutor.com will conduct a scholarship essay contest by posting a monthly essay prompt. To enter, log on to the website and submit essay by 11:59 PM Eastern tandard time by the last day of the contest period. Contest is open to anyone that is 16 years of age or older. Each essay must be at least 300 words. Webb (Katy) was a graduate of tanford University and was a proud supporter of Dollars for cholars. Her husband Matthew was a graduate of Poly High chool, as were her two children, Emily and James. At Poly, Emily and James were able to participate in many student activities, especially the Mock Trial program which held a special place in Katy s heart. With that in mind, Emily, James and Matthew established this scholarship fund to honor Katy. The primary purpose of this scholarship is to assist students who have made 1

Harris/LaFern Cunningham Memorial positive contributions as participants on the Poly Mock Trial Team and/or Performing Arts. Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need. This scholarship is open to current or former Poly graduates pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees at nonprofit colleges and universities offering Bachelor s or Graduate degrees. It is open to students who are beyond the first year of college as well as open to students who were not awarded scholarships during their previous years(s) of eligibility. This scholarship is for high school seniors (male and female) and awards are based on academic achievement, extra- curricular achievement, community service and personal essay. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior within an Bernardino or Riverside Counties seeking acceptance to an accredited community college and/or university. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and pursuing a career in the transportation industry. Applications available in the office. 3/28/18 $1,000 The Assistance League of Riverside is offering 4 scholarships to a Riverside Unified chool District, Alvord Unified chool District, or Jurupa Unified chool District AVID senior or other college bound senior who will be attending a trade school, two or four year university. Ben and Bernice Hammerschmidt Memorial tudent View The Ruth chroff Fund 4/2/18 $1,000 This scholarship provides college financial assistance to outstanding graduating seniors from Riverside and an Bernardino Counties who are pursuing a college education in engineering, particularly in the area of construction or civil engineering. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, exhibit community and school involvement, and demonstrate financial need. Work experience is a consideration. The criteria used for allocating scholarships are based on the following: individual initiative, successful impact, sustainable change and action above and beyond the call of duty. This scholarship is open to all graduating senior Link Leaders who have completed at least one year of service as a Link Leader.
