2 YOUR MISSION: You have been chosen to be part of an elite mission. Should you choose to accept, you will need to turn in your mission documents. At that time, permission will be granted for attendance, social functions and networking. Once you report to headquarters, you will be supplied with an Agent ID pass (and maybe a secret handshake. How this adventure unfolds is up to you. The briefing will begin on Monday, April 30 at 5:00 p.m. where everyone will mingle. Every day our mission is to care for our beloved residents and provide loving quality care. Having the most up-to-date education and products pertinent to long term care makes our MISSION POSSIBLE! Mission Briefing (Meet-n-Greet) takes place on Monday, April 30 at 5:00 p.m. where everyone will gather and enjoy hors d oeuvres and drinks. Classes begin on Tuesday, May 1 promptly at 9:00 a.m. The exhibit hall will open on Tuesday. Members will have two opportunities to visit with vendors. Lunch will be served and later that afternoon, members will attend a networking reception where there will be door prizes. Members are encouraged to attend the legislative reception on Tuesday evening.

No more than 2 items/set per category from each home participating. Crafts are to be set up before seminars begin Wednesday morning and picked up by the end of the day. This new system will provide a comprehensive, hosted system to manage the administration of a uniform incident reporting tool across a State-wide coordinated network of entry points to Long Term Care Providers. This system will replace the current incident management system (OTIS) and the elderly protective services reporting system with a single incident management solution. 2:30p.m. 3:30 p.m. Life Safety Code Update Butch Browning, EFO, CFO State Fire Marshal Chief Browning will discuss the latest CMS Requirements for Life Safety Code in nursing facilities. This session will also cover the newest interpretation of LSC Guidelines as well as common areas of citation and the methods that facilities can use to resolve these issues.

McKee, MS, RDN, CSG, LD/N, DAPWCA, Nutritious Lifestyles The CMS Final Rule requires that each facility employs a qualified Foodservice Manager and foodservice staff. Competency evaluations are now required as well as an assessment of nutrition services. This session will address the components of a nutrition/foodservice facility assessments and the competency development standards and tools required for all foodservice managers and line positions such as cooks, aides and dishwashers. CDR - Level II CPE Codes 1000, 1070, 6000, 6030, 6060, 6080, 7190, 7200 Continuing Education Information Nursing Facility Administrators: 9 hours approved This activity training session has been submitted to the Louisiana Board of Examiners of Nursing Facility Administrators and is pending approved for 9 continuing education hours. Registered Nurses: 7.25 hours approved 7.25 Contact Hours of Continuing Education credit will be awarded to registered nurses upon the completion of the offering (full attendance for May 1st and May 2nd is required) Joint-Provided with Northwestern State University College of Nursing Continuing Education and the Louisiana Nursing Home Association. Northwestern State University Nursing Continuing Education is accredited as a provider in continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation.
