Being at the Scott Center allows for our scientists to work closely with established and start-up businesses, as well as faculty from Peter Kiewit Institute of Information Science, Technology and Engineering and other campuses. The synergy resulting from this co-location has spawned many new ideas and new products. Having the University and PKI in such close proximity allowed for interaction with student development talent and research assistance, which led to fruitful relationships for our companies. Founded by civic and community leaders aiming to enhance technology and innovation in our community, Scott Technology Center is a collaborative and innovative Class A office and Data Center Campus in the Heart of Aksarben Village. The mission of Scott Technology Center is to develop and facilitate the commercialization of emerging technologies while adding value to partnerships with industry, government and academia. It s home to a free annual summer concert series; host to two significant outdoor for-profit concert events; starting location for many philanthropic walks/runs including Omaha s renown Corporate Cup Run; Stinson is also the host to a number of annual wine, beer, craft, food and art festivals. Featured in Stinson Park is a popular playzone with jungle gym and dancing waters. The park also connects to Omaha s extensive hiking and biking trails. Every Sunday Aksarben Village is the home to one of Omaha s largest farmers markets. Gold s Gym features cardio, weight training and group fitness. Aksarben Cinema has 10 digital screens and can seat up to 1,700 movie watchers.
