Paint a masterpiece on beautiful and historic 5th Avenue South that will be viewed by thousands of spectators. Seasoned artists, artists in the making, schools, scouts and civic groups are all invited to display their creativity that will turn 5th Avenue South into a kaleidoscope of color. Chalk, brushes, water and mixing containers will be provided to all registered artists. BE A SPONSOR... Advertise your business, support a meaningful local cause, or honor a friend or loved one. Your Chalk Art square will be seen by thousands of locals and visitors. PRIZES & AWARDS..... Cash Prizes Five Cash Prizes will be awarded to Artists by Official Judges in ALL Sizes!!! Cash Prizes will be First Place $2,000.00, Second Place $1,500.00, Third Place $1,000.00, Fourth Place $ & Fifth Place $ People s Choice Awards will be judged by Spectators purchasing tickets to Vote for their Favorite Square. All Three Sizes (6 x6, 9 x9 & 12 x12 ) of Squares will be awarded First, Second & Third Place. Tickets are $1.00 or 6 Tickets for $5.00 or 15 Tickets for $10.00 or 50 Tickets for $20.00 Winners will be announced at the end of the event and in the local news media. 3 Sponsor Registration November, 2016 Dear Prospective Sponsor, Advertise Your Business, and help us send a bright student to college or honor a friend by sponsoring a square. We need you to help sponsor our event planned for Saturday January 28 th, called. It will be a great celebration of artists and their creative works of chalk painting located on 5th Avenue South. All proceeds will benefit local charities and The Pelican Bay Rotary Scholarship Fund. With this event being held in one of the most popular tourist months in Naples, we expect a grand turnout! Last year produced a terrific response from the art community. In addition to the entertainment, live music, food and huge color-splashed canvas of chalk painting, the culmination of the Event will be the awarding of the prizes Official Judges: Cash prizes will be awarded to FIVE Artists will be Selected by Official Judges. Square size does not matter for this Contest. Judges will be looking for Creativity!!! 1st Place - $2,000 2nd Place - $1,500 3rd Place - $1,000 4th Place - $600 5th Place - $400 Peoples Choice: All three sizes of squares will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for a total of 9 winners. These winners are determined by the public voting with tickets they purchase from the Pelican Bay Rotary Club on site. Encourage your fans to come and vote for you. 5 Artist Guidelines November, 2017 Dear Artist, Please show off your creative, artistic talents and help us transform 5th Avenue South into a huge color splashed canvas on Saturday, January 28th! will be a great celebration of artists and their creative works of chalk painting, located on 5th Avenue South. All proceeds will benefit the Pelican Bay Rotary Scholarship Fund. This event is being held in one of the most popular tourist months in Naples, you will have great exposure for your work. Please check in by 10:00 AM at the large tent located at the intersection of Park Street and 5th Avenue S. All chalk, water, brushes, cups and utensils to stir the chalk will be provided. Be flexible about the size of your square. Every attempt has been made to accommodate your requested square size but due to the number of sponsors and artists requesting the same size square, your requested size may not be available. Chalk is soap based, water soluble and environmentally friendly. DO NOT USE FIXATIVES OR ANY PRODUCT OTHER THAN THE CHALK PROVIDED ON THE PAVEMENT. Official Judges: There will be a panel of judges who will award their top FIVE overall squares (all square sizes combined). 1st Place - $2,000 2nd Place - $1,500 3rd Place - $1,000 4th Place - $600 5th Place - $400 Peoples Choice: There will be a plastic container at your square site with the sponsor s name on it. Spectators will be purchasing votes and depositing them in the containers located at each square. You may decorate the container to draw attention to it and encourage the onlookers to vote. At the end of the day, please put your votes in the container and return them to the registration table. There will be prizes for the top 3 squares in each size category. The Name of Your Sponsor MUST be put at the TOP of Your Square just outside the Actual Square Space!!! Please return all unused chalk to the registralllon table and clean-up your area. If you need someone to sign off on your volunteer hours, please see a Rotarian at the main tent.
