1 The V International Conference on Environmental, Industrial and Applied Microbiology - BioMicroWorld2013, which will be held in Madrid (Spain) from 2 to 4 October 2013, will bring together researchers, engineers and scientists in the fields of industrial microbiology, biotechnology, environmental sciences, agriculture, food and medical microbiology, and other related fields, to communicate current research priorities and progress in those fields, and to identify new research approaches. BioMicroWorld2013 consolidates a series of conferences, whose last edition, held in Torremolinos-Malaga (Spain) in 2011, received nearly 1000 abstracts to be considered for presentation and attracted more than 500 researchers from nearly 60 countries. The conference will take place in Madrid. Madrid is the capital and largest city of Spain. Madrid has a wide cultural offer, thanks to a rich cultural heritage. The city has a lot of monuments that have become in a symbol for the city: the Cibeles Fountain (la fuente de La Cibeles), Neptuno Fountain, Alcalá Gate (la Puerta de Alcalá), Sol Gate (la Puerta del Sol) You will love to walk along the streets and discover all of them: gardens, parks, palaces, charming buildings, historical places... Besides, Madrid has three of the most important art galleries in the world. We are talking about the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofía Museum and Art Center. All of them house the most brilliant works of art of the whole painting History. Works that have been made by the most prestigious and well known artists such as Goya, Velázquez, Picasso, Monet, Degas, Dalí, Rembrandt The three Museums are located at the so-called Art Walk (Paseo del Arte), a nice area, full of trees, monuments and emblematic buildings.
