1 PRAGUE PHOTOGRAPHIC 08 The nd Annual Contest (Contest) display in photos in Prague and on Prague is organized under the auspices of the Lady Mayor of Prague, the Capital, and the City Manager of Prague by the Society of Prague Photographic in cooperation with the Union of Czech Photographers and with the financial support of Prague, the Capital, and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. CONTEST TOPICS (CATEGORIES). BEAUTY OF PRAGUE historical and contemporary architecture, both interiors and exteriors, City corners, gardens, parks, and similar images. PEOPLE IN PRAGUE street life, habitation, recreation, children, pet animals and similar images. PROBLEMS OF PRAGUE destruction, dilapidation and devastation, negative impact of traffic, tourism, advertisement, etc. on the City environment SPECIAL CATEGORIES:. CHRONICLE OF THE CAPITAL Prague events and happenings of the past year worth capturing and preserving for the history 5. HLUBOČEPY (part of Prague 5) changes, situations, views and elements typical for this part of Prague, characteristic for its look and thus differing it from others. 6. CAUGHT BY A MOBILE PHONE a special event occurred in Prague caught successfully by a camera in a mobile phone DEADLINES Closing Date: 8 th February 08 Panel of Jurors: March 08 Ceremonial Announcement of Results and the Opening of the Exhibition: April 08 Exhibitions: Old Town Hall April 08, Café Kamzík April May 08 Repetitions, Selected and Individual Exhibitions: July December 08 PRIZES THE PRIZE OF THE LADY MAYOR OF PRAGUE, THE CAPITAL The Prize of the Lady Mayor of Prague, the Capital, is the main prize of the Contest. It is awarded by the Lady Mayor of Prague, the Capital, on the proposal of the panel of jurors of the Contest, to the author who depicted the life of the Capital in pictures during the past year at his/her best either by a single photo or by a set of photos sent to the Contest. The Prize is material and the Lady Mayor is going to award it personally on ceremonial announcement of the results and opening of the Contest Exhibition (Exhibition). The Prize shall be awarded across categories.

2 FURTHER AWARDS The Prize of the City Manager of Prague - material prize to be awarded to the author selected by the visitors of the Exhibition The FOMA Bohemia Prize for the best black-and-white-picture photographic goods in the value of 5,000 CZK The OLYMPUS Prize for the best experimental picture - photographic goods in the value of 0,000 CZK The Prize of the Union of Czech Photographers material prize, organization of an exhibition The Prize of the Union of Slovak Photographers medal PRIZES IN CATEGORIES Prizes to be awarded in the Contest are donated by Centrum FotoŠkoda, FOMA Bohemia, Nikon, Olympus, Ricoh, Sanco, Ultralab and Syn: First Place Prize in each category photographic goods in value of 6,000 CZK Second Place Prize in each category photographic goods in value of,000 CZK Third Place Prize in each category photographic goods in value of,000 CZK In special categories, only First Place Prize is awarded PANEL OF JURORS Winners shall be selected by the panel of international jurors made up of representatives of organizers, sponsors and professional photographers devoted to Prague. There shall be the first, second and third place prizes awarded in each Contest category, and first place prizes in special categories. The panel of jurors shall be ready to award honourable mentions as well. The prize of the Lady Mayor of Prague, the Capital, shall be chosen by the Lady Mayor on the proposal of the panel of expert jurors. Other prizes shall be chosen of all categories on the proposal of the panel of jurors by the representatives of companies and organizations. The panel of jurors reserves the right not to award all prizes, or to combine prizes. The panel of jurors can also rearrange some pictures into another, more appropriate category. RULES OF THE CONTEST In the nd Annual Contest only pictures taken as from st February 07 are accepted. Every contestant may submit up to photos for each category. Series of up to 5 photos assembled thematically count as one entry. There is a recommended format of 0x0 cm and variations observing the shorter size. Photos may be both black-and-white and coloured. Acceptable are also pictures adjusted and experimental. Each photo shall be marked with the author s name, address; please do not forget to indicate the name of the picture, date of its taking and the selected category. All pictures with enclosed return postage will be returned through the Czech Post. They may also be collected personally during the Prague Exhibition. All entries must be accompanied by their data form (one CD is sufficient). The

3 data form of the photo must be in minimum size of A (0x97 mm) with density min 00 dpi (80x5 pixels) and must be in one of colour spaces of RGB, CMYK. Usual data format jpg, tiff, bmp is acceptable. ENTRY FEE Each contestant is requested to enclose an entry fee of 50 CZK to the entry form. PUBLICITY A catalogue/cd comprising winning and exhibited photos shall be published. All contestants shall receive the catalogue free of charge. 5 CONSENT TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA O I agree to receiving information on further actions and contests.through the registration to the Contest the contestant considers that given data shall be processed by both the Society of Prague Photographic, z.s. Haštalská 79/, 0 00 Praha, IČ 56967, as an administrator (hereinafter called the Society ) including the data processing through the processer which is the Union of Czech photographers, z.s., Fügnerovo nám. 865/5, 0 Praha, IČ 00, for the realization and evaluation of the Contest, or for the handover of prizes. In case the contestant mark off the frame in the registration form indicating I agree to receiving information on further actions and contests, the contestant approves also of his/her free will the use of his/her name, surname and address for filing into a database for marketing purposes of the Society, which is for receiving information on organized actions, contests and other activities by means of electronic means in compliance with Law No. 8/00 Coll. The data will be stored and processed for a necessary period in view to the purpose of the processing, however no longer than the revocation of the consent comes into validity. The contestant considers that in compliance with paras, and of Law No. 0/000 Coll., especially that the data are given of his/her own will and that he/she can any time and free of charge require the Society to end up the processing of personal data and liquidate them in the files of the Society, and he/she has also the right to access his/her data and correct them or block incorrect personal data or to liquidate them, etc. In doubt whether the Society or processers adhere to their duty properly he/she can address the Society or the processer. Supervision is pursued by the Board for the Protection of Personal Data with a seat in Lt-Col. Sochor Street 7, Prague 7, The contestant of the Contest explicitly consents in compliance with provisions of para 77 and subsequent paras of Law No. 89/0 Coll., as amended, that the Contest organizer has a right without any charge to use mailed photos as well as the name, surname and city of the contestant in mass medias (including internet), publicity and advertisement materials of the Contest organizer in connection with this Contest, and also, voice and picture records of the contestants (especially winners in connection with obtaining the prize), namely during 5 years from the closure of the Contest.
