1 JPMorgan Chase Giving Tuesday Program Rules On Tuesday, December 1 st, we are launching a one-day State Giving Challenge for states with more than 100 employees. The challenge is open to U.S. employees, and the state with the highest percentage of donors (as a percentage of employees located in that state) through Good Works on Giving Tuesday will get $25,000 to donate to a nonprofit of their choosing. Second prize is $10,000, and third prize $5,000. All U.S. employees can donate via Good Works Workplace Giving to the charity of their choice through a payroll deduction, credit card giving or by registering a personal contribution made directly to a nonprofit. Gifts registered between Tuesday, December 1st from 12:01 am and 11:59 pm EST will be included in the State Giving Challenge results. What s more is that we will double-match all donations made by eligible employees into their Charitable Spending Account, meaning that you have even more incentive to give to great organizations around the country! The challenge is one day in duration and will open at December 1 at 12:01 am EST and close at 11:59 pm EST. 2. How do I donate? U.S. employees can donate to any nonprofit organization through Good Works Workplace Giving, using one of three methods: Payroll Giving Donate by signing up for a recurring payroll deduction Credit Card Giving Make a one-time online credit card donation Personal Contribution Register any personal donation on December 1 that is made directly to a nonprofit organization in 2015 (outside of the Good Works system) as long as it has not been previously registered in Good Works. 3. Who is eligible to participate in Giving Tuesday? All U.S. employees are eligible to participate in the Giving Tuesday State Giving Challenge by donating through Good Works Workplace Giving, and if your state has 100 employees or more, it is eligible to win a grant for a local nonprofit through the State Giving Challenge. However, only employees that are regularly eligible for the firm s Matching Gifts program are eligible for a special 2:1 match into their Charitable Spending Accounts on Giving Tuesday. 4. Which states are eligible to participate in the Giving Tuesday State Giving Challenge? All states that have 100 employees or more are eligible to compete for the $25,000 grant to donate to a nonprofit organization of their choosing. The state with the greatest percentage of employee participation will receive a $25,000 grant to give to a nonprofit organization. 3 Donation via payroll giving minimum pledge amount is $1.00 per pay period One-time donation via credit card giving minimum pledge amount is $25.00 Personal contribution directly to a nonprofit minimum pledge amount is $ Is there a maximum donation? No, there is no maximum donation. However, eligible employees may receive an additional $1,000 in matching funds on top of the $1,000 annual Charitable Spending Account (CSA) match limit. So, for every $1 dollar donated on Giving Tuesday, eligible employees may receive $2 dollars into their CSAs up to $2,000 ($1,000 annual CSA limit plus $1,000 additional for Giving Tuesday). 8. What organizations can I donate to? All U.S. employees can donate to any valid 501c3 charitable organization. However, for those employees who are eligible to receive matching funds into their Charitable Spending Accounts (CSA), the matching funds may only be directed to an organization on the CSA list. Please note that the original organization an employee donates to may not be on the CSA list, in which case the employee would need to allocate the fund to one of the approved CSA organizations. Please visit Good Works Workplace Giving Charitable Spending Account to search for eligible organizations. 9. When will the nonprofit organization receive my personal credit card contribution or payroll deduction? How can I verify that the nonprofit organization received my donation? Global Philanthropy will disburse employee donations to nonprofits on a quarterly basis; nonprofits will likely receive employee contributions from Giving Tuesday by February You can access the payment status of your gift on the Good Works site by visiting My History.
