7 Things YOU Can Do! Hand Out the brochures and pledge forms to all staff Make 100% Ask Keep track of those who you ask to avoid harassing your coworkers. Keep the Campaign Visible: Dedicate an area or table to the Campaign Talk up the campaign daily Be Friendly & Approachable! Host a themed party or fundraiser. Bake sale, chili cook-off, etc. Reserve Guest Speakers at your staff meeting: See Speaker Request Form (in your manual or online) Hold Raffles & Create Incentives Make it FUN! Send Weekly s to Staff Include web link and online donation page link The #1 reason why people don t give is because they were not asked.
8 Ideas to Energize Your Campaign Create employee teams for a 100% Ask Hold events: breakfasts, lunches, ice cream socials, charity fairs, bake sales, kick ball games, etc. Personalize the campaign using employee testimonials. Develop a theme (brand your campaign with an identity) Communicate with employees in multiple ways ( , intranet, voice mail, posters, banners, newsletters, etc). Talk to them in person and keep the campaign visible. Have employees & their kids create artwork for the campaign. Promote artwork from employees. Offer incentives (not just gift cards but also day off, preferred parking spot, paid lunch, wash co-workers car, etc.) Make it easy; keep it simple. And have fun!
9 Personal Solicitation Tips Make your Donation First - By doing this, you demonstrate your commitment to the campaign Learn About the Charities & Federations in the Campaign - The more you know, the easier it will be to ask for donations from fellow employees and answer their questions. Make the giving process easy - Most people have a desire to help others and donating through your employee fund drive is an easy and cost-effective way to do that. Highlight the benefits of the campaign such as low fundraising costs and payroll deduction, which allows people to donate more by easily spreading out their gift over a year. Thank each donor - Employees take great pride in donating and appreciate it when their generosity is acknowledged. A simple thank you can go a long way! Focus on community impact and why you give- When employees can visualize how their donations will positively impact the community, they are more inclined to give and may even increase their donations. Sharing your personal story about why you give will always promote a positive message. If you are met with hostility or apathy, don t take it personally - Concerns like these are not directed at you; rather, they are directed at the idea you are presenting. Some people feel comfortable being asked to give, while others do not. You are offering an opportunity Let us make the ask for you! The federations and/or member charities would be happy to present to your employees at a staff meeting or event. Our speakers are the best resource to share with your employees how the campaign impacts the community. Bring charity speakers into your department or play a charity video at a meeting.

12 Donation Process Encourage Employees to donate online ALL ONLINE PLEDGES NEED TO BE SIGNED: Please be sure they print and sign a receipt and submit those to Joyce Ring-Reaves Two Payment Options: 1. Recurring Monthly Payroll Deductions 2. Checks & Money Orders (payable to federation) Complete the submittal sheet and send pledge summary to Joyce every Friday via Enter and submit pledges as soon as you receive them for the most up to date weekly reports.
