Introduction of SU Team- direct contact found on back of agenda and on SU website 6:40 pm Troop Matters Erica Reminder-All agendas and meeting minutes found on website. If unable to attend for whatever reason, you are responsible to check website for updates under leader section. Early Bird, Girls Night Out and any other SU patches can be found in Troop Box where you pick up bank statements. During Nut Sale absolutely no fundraising. Once sale is done, by Thanksgiving, ok to do so but you will need to submit a Money Earning Application Form to me for approval. SUM-Troop visit check in- passing around calendar for Oct-Dec to set a date/time when I can come and do a check in with each troop. Purpose is to touch base and audit paperwork to make sure you have everything you need for a successful year. Also, Anais will be coming along to talk to girls and parents about upcoming summer day camp to get feedback and possibly recruit volunteers and/or PA s. This will allow time to connect 1 on 1 with leader and co-lead. Kids present at SU meetings/trainings: Due to safety pre-cautions and not having proper insurance, no tagalongs (non-registered siblings) to any of our SU meetings/trainings until further notice. May change in the future but will notify when it does. Scouts are ok to come only if they are assisting with a specific task, such as leading us in opening of the meeting (pledge of allegiance, GS Promise/Law), handling events registrations etc. or if they have requested to add an item they want to present on during the meeting. With that being said, moving forward would like to encourage older scouts to help lead the meetings each month. They would be in charge of facilitating who will speak at what time during meeting. Providing opportunity for the girls to take on more of a leadership role and to practice in that area if needed. If interested, me. New Leader Orientation/Training- I have a schedule training for all our incoming new leaders. For current troops, if you have a new leader coming into to troop and have yet to fulfill this requirement please ask them to attend. Will be on 10/19 6:15-8:15 at Rio Rosales Elementary. SU Registrar position is currently vacant. If any issues with troop roster such as not locating a scout on there or need more scouts, contact me directly until position is filled. E-biz: If yet to do so, please ensure that your troop roster reflects an 01 and 02 position on it. You can do the change online or Maria at council to do so. Girls Night Out Recruitment Event: Overwhelming response! Over 182 new registered scouts and only 20 adults stepping up. 10 troops formed: 4 Daisy, 2 Brownie, 2 Multi: D/B and 2 Junior. Experienced a lot of issues, connected with council to let them know what those were. We had the biggest response from all council combined. Nonetheless, we have a lot of girls on waitlist. Please consider to add 1-2 girls to your troop. Also, please make yourselves available to our new leaders
2 and provide support when needed. Last but not least, thank you to the girls and volunteers that helped out this event. We all made it work for such an unexpected response. Shared the 10 pieces of Advice with all leaders. 6:50 pm Council Announcements Lauren- Not preset GSCCC Fundraising Event, Fork It Over,to benefit Camp Arnaz!
