1 The Service Unit Honor Award is a tool to help guide your Service Unit in creating a quality Girl Scout experience for your girl members and volunteers. To make the best use of this tool, you should: Go over the Honor Award at the beginning of the year and determine if you want to add any goals specific to your Service Unit Review the Honor Award periodically at Service Unit Team meetings to make sure the SU is on track Review highlights of the Honor Award with the Leaders in October and January to let them know how the Service Unit is progressing Keep the Volunteer Specialist aware of progress toward the Honor Award goals and ask for help if you are having difficulty with any of the items In May, celebrate your Service Unit's accomplishments and turn in the completed Honor Award by June 1, 2018 to your Volunteer Specialist The total possible points is 400. Based on the number of points accumulated on the Honor Award, your Service Unit can achieve Bronze, Silver, or Gold: Gold level: 360 points (90%) Silver level: 320 points (80%) Bronze level: 280 points (70%) The Service Unit Honor Award lists criteria in four sections Service Unit Administration, Membership, Program, and Volunteer Development, Product Sales, & Fund Development.
