Monday October 23, 2017 Golf at Camelback Ambiente Course Tee time at 1:39 p.m. $78.00 Designed by notable golf architect Jason Straka, the Ambiente Course offers eye-catching elevation changes with significant drops throughout the course. This course was renovated last year with conservation and resource protection in mind. In fact, Ambiente is the Spanish word for environment. With its beautiful mountain backdrop, this 7,225-yard, par-72 desert jewel will test your skills while offering a rewarding golf experience. We ll walk the same streets traveled by early settlers during the frontier days and learn how Scottsdale has grown into one of the most desirable vacation destinations in the country. 7 Join us as we prepare a fabulous gourmet meal with one of the chefs from Sweet Basil Gourmetware and Cooking School. After the hands-on class, we ll sit down and enjoy a meal, a margarita, and the company of our fellow participants. Best of all there s no clean up involved! We ll be cooking from Sweet Basil s Southwest Flavors menu, featuring tortillas and guacamole; black bean, roasted corn, and mango quesadillas; shredded pork and mushroom enchiladas with ancho chile cream sauce; sautéed Southwestern vegetables; and green chile macaroni. Thursday October 26, 2017 Taliesin West 2:15 p.m. 5:30 p.m. $75.00 If you ever wanted to visit one of Frank Lloyd Wright s architectural marvels, you ll have that chance on our guided tour of historic Taliesin West. Constructed in 1937, this famous compound sits on 600 acres in the Sonoran Desert at the foothills of the McDowell Mountains. During our tour, we can walk through Wright s house, sit on furniture he designed, and see the dramatic living room where he entertained. 9 RELEASE FROM RESPONSIBILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND POWER TO AUTHORIZE MEDICAL TREATMENT Complete only if you are participating in optional out-of-class activities. Release must be signed by each participating adult. It being my intention to participate in the optional activities offered while attending the Western CPE conference, and it being known and understood by me that said participation in these optional activities shall necessarily involve exposure to risks to my person and my property, I do hereby assume the full responsibility for any such risks and do hereby waive any right to any claim against Western CPE or any of its employees or agents for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, or expense resulting from any acts or omission of any carrier, government, private legal entity, or third person. I also assume sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify Western CPE against any loss due to any financial obligations or liabilities that I may personally incur, or any damages or injury to persons or property that I may cause during the time of my participation. I understand the optional activities will be conducted in and around the conference area, and I understand that these activities carry certain risks.
