NCREIF Group Rate: $275 Group Rate Cutoff Date: February 27, 2017 (see below) Please Note: There has been a significant increase in our conference attendance numbers over the past couple of years and our room blocks have filled up quickly. The room block numbers are negotiated and reserved one or more years in advance of the conference dates, and although we try to secure additional guest rooms in our block, it is not always possible due to other groups holding space during our dates. We work closely with the hotel to manage a waitlist and try to accommodate as many attendees as possible, but unfortunately there may be some attendees that are not able to secure a room at the host hotel and are provided a list of alternate hotels in the area. If you are not able to make a reservation at the host hotel, please add your name to the hotel s waitlist and contact Tamara Pendley at Tpendley@NCREIF.org to let her know you are waitlisted and we will do our best to work with the hotel to secure a room for you. Ground Transportation The Scottsdale Resort is 12 miles from Sky Harbor International Airport. 4 REGISTRATION, CONTACT & CONTINUING EDUCATION Conference Registration Conference Fees are $100 for Plan Sponsors and Academics and $1090 for all other member types. Please Note! The Academy Course Space Markets Analysis on Tuesday is a separate fee and is $125 for Plan Sponsors and Academics, and $350 for all other member types. This course is a part of the NCREIF Certificate Program, though anyone may register!! Refund Policy Written notice is required for all cancellations. Cancellations received after March 10 will incur a $100 administrative fee. ***We regret there are no refunds for cancellations received after March 17. 5 SPACE MARKETS ANALYSIS COURSE - NCREIF ACADEMY Space Markets Analysis Course Qualifies for NCREIF s Professional Certificate Program in Institutional Real Estate Investment Instructor: Will McIntosh, Ph.D. Global Head of Research, USAA Tuesday, March 21, 2017 This class is being held in conjunction with the NCREIF Winter Conference and a separate fee applies. The class is open to anyone, participation in the certificate program is not necessary. If you would like more information on the certificate program please Stacy Gaskins at Sgaskins@NCREIF.org. This course is designed to illustrate how to analyze the supply and demand for various types of real estate in a particular market area. This, in turn, impacts rents and occupancy for existing properties as well as the expected absorption and feasibility for proposed projects. The factors that impact these metrics and the types of data used to analyze them vary by property type. The course will discuss the types of data and analytical models that are typically used to do a market analysis. This is important for appraisals of existing properties, feasibility studies of proposed projects, and determining strategies for renovation and repositioning of properties. The interaction of the space (tenant) market with the capital market is also discussed as well as the globalization of real estate capital and its impact on pricing; technology and the changing spatial structure of cities (what this means for location decisions); and the evolution and increasing scale of real estate development.
