It s a vacation just take out a sailboat or kayak and chill out. It s your biology laboratory. It s 5 a.m. crew team practice (you ll be amazed how much you can get done before sunrise). But what makes St. Mary s special is more than the river and our 361-acre campus. First-year students can have cars for the short drive to shopping and restaurants but with campus concerts, movies, athletic events, festivals, visiting artists and writers, and speakers in the thick of world events, you won t want to leave. The Dance Club has hundreds of members, the Improv Club is popular, and the College Democrats, nonpartisans and Republicans are a strong presence on campus. What we don t have are cliques.
