You ll be part of a friendly, caring campus community here, where your professors will care about you and help you do your best. We re a regional campus of the University of Pittsburgh. That means you ll get all of the benefits of being a part of our tight-knit campus community, but you ll also have access to all of Pitt s vast resources. And, when you graduate, you ll receive your degree from the University of Pittsburgh, which is recognized and respected all over the world. Academics This is college, so you re going to be hitting the books hard. But, you ll also have many opportunities to go beyond textbooks and classroom lectures to get hands-on experiences on campus and off that will give you an advantage when you graduate. On campus: Solve mock crimes in our CSI House. Care for patients in our simulated nursing lab. Student Researcher Meet Brandon Garske, a biology major from North East, PA. Brandon first became interested in conducting research when he studied fruit flies in the genetics lab.

The next year, he researched tumor development in fruit flies with his professor, Dr. Lauren Yaich. Having biology labs that are so interactive makes it much easier and more fun to learn the information. Get great experience as an intern. You can choose a local company, such as Zippo Manufacturing Co., or a national or international one such as Walt Disney World or the FBI. Work in the neighboring Allegheny National Forest or Allegany State Park. Studying Abroad Meet Nnedimma Ugochukwu, a computer information systems and technology major from Washington, DC. Nnedimma spent a year in Shanghai, China, where she studied Mandarin. When she returned, she spent her summer as an intern at Google. Yes, that Google. If you re up for some adventure, our Outdoor Club plans trips to go rock climbing, spelunking, zip lining, skiing, white-water rafting, horseback riding and more. But that s not all.

If you re interested in sports, we have 13 NCAA Division III varsity teams, an ice hockey club team, as well as several intramural teams. You can go to concerts, art exhibitions, lectures and plays. You ll also have many opportunities to volunteer in the community. 8 Meet Yara Elbeshbishi of Montgomery Village, MD, who graduated in 2015 with a bachelor s degree in chemistry. Yara took advantage of the many opportunities on campus, including interning and conducting research. Besides taking her required courses, she took additional courses, which sparked her interest in pursuing a career in the public health field. She s currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh s Graduate School of Public Health. My academic experience at Pitt-Bradford was exceptional.
