RECRUITMET IITIATIVES 2 3 Date 8/3/25 /8/25 /26/26 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Brief Description Of Activity Establishment of an Ottawa University senior Cody Vergara intern program designed took part in an internship from 8/24/5- to assist members of the 2//5 at KOFO Radio. During this community time, he experienced all aspects of broadcasting, from anchoring newscasts and weather forecasts to on-air work. He produced both the morning show and the noon hour with station personnel. He also completed data base work during his internship. Participation in events or programs sponsored by educational institutions Participation in events or programs sponsored by educational institutions Mr. Johnson conducted mock interviews with eight Ottawa High School juniors in the Junior Interview Fair sponsored by USD 29 Communities in Schools. He provided feedback to the students. The contact person for the Fair was Cassie Myers. Mr. Howard addressed two groups of 3 students each from Lincoln and Eugene Field Elementary Schools at Lincoln Elementary from 5-6 pm through STEM, a United Way mentoring program designed to excite young people about science, technology, engineering and math executed by USD 29 Communities in Schools. He told them about KOFO's history as well as his personal career history, including those men he considered to be mentors. He set up an equipment display and demonstrated a mock radio interview with the children. They were excited to hear their own voices amplified through the equipment.
