WEP-TV's Investigative Reporter participated as a panel member at the Misericordia University Department of Communications discussion about investigative journalism. The panelists fielded questions from the public and students and provided some perspective and insight into how investigative journalism works and how they research their stories. Sophmore student from Stroudsburg High School had a job shadow with our Programming/Production Department. She showed interest in editing and control room operations. RECRUITMET IITIATIVES 5 Date 6/6/23 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Establishment of an intern program designed to assist members of the community Brief Description Of Activity WEP Internships Hands-On Experience For College Students WEP-TV offers internship opportunities for college students during the spring, summer, and fall. Requirements: Internships must be taken for college credit. Students must have some college level experience in the area where they wish to intern. Freshman students are not eligible; educational requirements vary by department. Internships run for 2 consecutive weeks. The number of hours per week varies by department. Interns must have a valid driver s license. Opportunities: Specific internship opportunities are subject to change by semester. Students from J.T. Lambert Intermediate School (7th and 8th grade) in East Stroudsburg Area School District are coming for their annual WEP tour. o. of Stations Participants Participant Title Producer These students have an interest in television and broadcasting, as they prepare and deliver morning announcements each day at their school via. the school's TV broadcasting system.
