Teaching elementary school through high school students videography and editing skills and discuss opportunities in television. WCIA ews anchor participated as a speaker at ovak Academy. She spoke about career decisions and job requirements in the broadcasting field. WCIA participated at the Career Connections Expo- University of Illinois Springfield. Station personnel were able to meet with students and discuss vacancies at the stations in the broadcasting industry. WCIA Anchor participated as a speaker of journalism at a luncheon for the Women's Business Counsel of Champaign County. WCIA Production Manger participated at Urbana High School in mock interviews with co-op students to give students experience and constructive feedback during the interview process. WCIA participated at the EIU Television, Radio & Video job fair. Television, radio, and video production majors attend this job fair to meet with media companies for both internships and post-graduation employment.
