RECRUITMET IITIATIVES Date 1/16/217 1/17/217 1/16/218 Type of Recruitment Initiative (Menu Selection) Participation in events or programs sponsored by educational institutions Participation in events sponsored by community groups Establishment of training programs for station personnel Brief Description Of Activity The SEU hosted the Hutchinson Community College Broadcasting class for a dinner, open house and tour of the broadcast facility. We were a Corporate Sponsor for Prairie Independent Living Center (PILR) Mentoring Day. The objective is to give youth with disabilities the opportunity to experience life in a professional work environment. The SEU hosted a station tour/job shadow for the Prairie Independent Living Center from Hutchinson, KS. Members of PILR visited the stations various departments to observe the daily activities of the radio business and were able to ask questions throughout. The SEU s Operations Manager took a 14-video training course called Becoming a Leader through Eagle Communications' learning management system, Thinkzoom. The purpose of the course was to prepare the Operations Manager for future expanded roles within the SEU.
