Conference materials cannot be guaranteed unless registration is received by February 9, The Office of Continuing Medical Education reserves the right to cancel this conference. It also provides an excellent educational opportunity for physicians and allied health professionals who are peripherally involved in the management of ill or injured patients. WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND As the first line of defense against injury and illness, emergency medicine providers serve an extraordinary public safety function. Health care delivery models, reimbursement, and the technical care of medical and trauma patients is changing rapidly. Based upon participant evaluations, survey feedback, and other assessment methods, the need for cutting edge updates about emergency medicine has been identified. This course is designed to change provider knowledge and competence in areas identified in the needs assessments, including: Airway Management Lab Point-of-Care Ultrasound Lab Traumatic Injuries Poisonings EKG Interpretation Pediatric Emergencies Critical Care Physician Wellness Pain Management EDUCATIONAL METHODS Speakers will present materials in lecture format as well as hands-on practical skills stations. Q&A will be used to facilitate the dissemination of up-to-date information.
