1 CPP/PSD EXECUTIVE PROTECTION COURSE Residential (Induction + Five days) 17 th -22 ND October 2010 Class Size: Fifteen (15) Prerequisite: Cert II Security Operations licensed in state of operation and delivery. If you don t hold this qualification we will assist you to obtain it prior to enrolment Fee applies. This course will cover the complete range of CPP/PSD Executive Protection, from the basic principles, to advanced techniques. Course participants will be using classroom lectures and practical field exercises. The training days will consist of eight to ten hours, with some operations going for twenty-four hours. Please note that the training will often continue on into the evening/night. The course content will include and is not limited to the following: Live assignment (a real job/client.) and assessments (during the course and follow-up due after the course). Advance Surveys preparation and planning Aviation Operations (Helicopter Bussing-de Bussing) (Negotiable on Numbers Case Studies Command post procedures Contemporaneous Notes and Legal Accountability Counter Terrorism familiarisation Defensive skills and tactics Field craft and practical scenarios (Safehouse/Stronghold) Final Training Exercise (FTX) High and Low Threat Scenarios Introduction to threat assessment, risk analysis and surveys Principles of Executive Protection Protection formations and Defensive Principal drills Residential and travel security Restaurant and banquet functions SMEAC (Operational Orders) Surveillance detection and counter surveillance operations Transport procedures, motorcades and IED detection ASP Batons certification
2 ESSENTIAL GEAR PER TEAM MEMBER: Sturdy foot wear/operational boots and Cams for bushcraft and solid track shoes for PT. Clothing suitable for the classroom environments, defensive tactics, PT, and business attire (formal and casual) for the FTX. Personal toiletries, casual clothes, sleeping bag or similar, pillow and towel. Please note* all participants need to bring Camouflage Clothing or BDU s if available Students will receive a full logo training jumper OR other attire ie T-shirt/Polo. (Course specific) They will also receive contact details for future work opportunities and marketing details: Blackwater USA, H3 Group and SOGA. Successful course participants will receive (if deemed competent by the RTO) Formal Qualifications in Executive Protection, Cert III in Sec Ops and Defensive Tactics. Further development opportunities exist to acquire Cert IV and Diploma Level qualifications in Security and Risk Management, Diploma of Public Safety (Policing) (Nationally Recognized). Eligible persons only may also receive Competencies in Firearms, Handcuffing, Batons, and Body guarding.
