1 Airborne Operations in Eastern Europe have a long tradition in our organisation, where we trained with many different Special Forces and Airborne units, in October 2018 we return! Hosting unit will be Specnaz Unit of the Russian Armed Forces. In 2016 we hosted jumpmasters from Russia the last time, now we go there! We promise to you that our next Op Dessant 2018 will be a high-light of the Airborne Operations around the world in 2018! Operation Dessant 2018! Basic Senior Freefall Requirements for the different levels for the respective wings on request! SITE/JUMP INFORMATION Operation Dessant 2018 is not open to novices in parachuting. Novices are required to join the 2 nd European Basic Airborne Course 2018 in Czech Republic from October, 4 th through 7 th 2018: Term: Term October, 21 st through 28 th 2018 Drop-zone: Number of jumps: Jump-ships: Briefings: Parachute system: Airfield close to Moscow/ Russia - 3 by static-line for participants or freefall - Bi plane AN-2 (NATO Code Colt) or AN-26, - Possible Mi-2 helicopter for freefall - English language by our Russian instructors - Russian D-6, D1-5Y and/ or D-10 (steer-able military-round-canopy system with static line and stabilization) - Your own freefall rig. 4 Qualified experienced static-line (Q1) or freefall jumpers (Q3): All places will be available to qualified experienced static-line and freefall jumpers. Requirements for participation in the jumps: Static line jumper must present on place: - An Airborne training certificate or parachute logbook with appropriate entries - A minimum number of 3 jumps with round-canopy systems - At least 1 jump during the last 12 months - A medical certificate fit for parachuting (forms available on our website) - A third party (liability) insurance - A foreign health insurance covering parachuting If you cannot meet these requirements, you may join the 2 nd European Basic Airborne Course 2018 in Czech Republic in October to become current again: Freefall jumper must present on place: - International valide FF licence, i.e > FAI B licence, USPA, BPA etc.) - A minimum number of 25 freefall jumps - At least 6 freefall jumps during the last 12 months Important: All the above documents are checked on place. Those who may not meet the requirements will not participate in the jumps and receive no refund. Every jumper will also be asked to sign a liability waiver to the host unit and nation and organizer. If you do not present with the completed documentation you cannot jump and you may also forfeit your deposit. ** It is only possible to complete a medical assessment on site if there are 3 x or more participants with this requirement. An assessment cannot be guaranteed and would cost an addition possibly high - fee so please ensure that you have this documentation in advance Essential equipment list for ALL jumpers: 1. Boots suitable for parachuting. Full ankle support is necessary and no training shoes are permitted for military static line jumps. 2. Uniform: a. Either correct current uniform of the jumpers national armed forces, a green or black jump-suit or b. Suitable outdoor clothing of a rip-stop type material Tiger-stripe uniform 3. National jump-helmet or black Protec helmet (or similar), helmets can used but can also be loaned by the DZ. Freefall qualified jumpers may wear also suitable helmets or cups. 4. 5 Organization: Number of participants: Minimum 15 to maximum 30 Training facility and activities: Close to Phnom Penh Accommodation: In block-houses like tourist class hotels (3*) Meals: Local food Schedule (changes are possible): Day 1. Arrival, accommodation, briefing and preparation for jumping. Day 2. Preparation and making 3 parachute jumps with military parachutes D-6, D-1-5( m, static line and stabilization), visit to ancient monastery (XV century) close to DZ. Day 3. Visit to the polygon of weapons test institute, shooting from WW2 and modern weapons, to the Central Museum of the WW2 in Moscow and Special Forces base of National Guard. Day 4. Trip to base near Moscow. Introduction of the weapons and equipment, physical tests and paintball game. Excursion to Military Park PATRIOT and Tanks museum in Kubinka. Day 5. Trip to Ryazan University of Airborne Troops and visit to Museum of Airborne Troops ( VDV ), based upon University of VDV in Ryazan. Day 6. Trip to Space Training Centre Star City, meeting with the Russian cosmonauts, to RAF Academy based biggest Museum of Soviet and Russian Aviation. Closing briefing. Awarding of the diplomas and Russian wings to participants of operation. Day 7. Departure day. Note: There is a possibility of changes in the program, depending on requirement or guests, weather situation. Operation Dessant 2018 includes: Military training part: - Intensive refresher training to fit a save jumps by S/L and freefall - 3 jumps by static-line/ freefall - Opportunity to shoot with small arms Military awards: After completing the respective requirements the participant will be awarded with following Parachute wings (in reference to the participant s qualification) including certificate: - Russian Parachute Airborne or Freefall Wings Cultural program and sight-seeing- tour in reference to the program!

6 Logistics: - Arrival day: On October 21 st the whole day to Moscow and take a taxi to the hotel. - 6 nights accommodation in tourist class hotels (3*) - All necessary transfers scheduled in the program - All necessary entry fees scheduled in the program Visa application: For entering Russia a visa is required. After registration and paid deposit you'll receive a supporting letter from the Russian Federation to apply for Russian visa in the Russian embassy of your national country. Costs of Operation Dessant 2018: In double room occupation: 1490 In single-room occupation: 1690 Registration: Deadline for registration is September, 16 th 2018, if not filled up earlier. Note, due to visa and security requirements we cannot accept any later registration! To register please info@internationalairborneoperations.com. Registration forms by PDFfile and logistic-list by Excel-file must be sent in by , originals to be presented on place. A non-refundable deposit of 800,- must be paid into our account to reserve your place on the manifest. The balance is to be paid cash in Euro after arrival.
