LLAB will be held in Duane from 1530 to 1730 on Thursday, 4 May, Physical Training (PT) will be executed as per Attachment 1: Physical Training Plan. 3. The Uniform of the Day is Service Dress. Cadets who have not been issued Service Dress will wear long-sleeve Blues. Cadets who have not been issued Blues will wear business professional attire, khaki pants and a polo shirt. Business professional attire will consist of flat shoes. All hair and jewelry is required to be in accordance with AFI : Air Force Dress and Appearance and AFROTC Supplement. The Flight Duty Uniform (FDU) is NOT approved for this LLAB. 5 Attachment 1: Physical Training Plan Operation: Physical Training 105th AFROTC CADET WING (AETC) University of Colorado Boulder, CO December, 2016 Situation: 1. Physical Training will be at four different locations. UCCS, Denver, and CSM will PT on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Boulder will PT on Tuesday and Wednesday (for more detailed information on the PT schedule see #3). 2. The Uniform of the Day for LLAB is the Physical Training Gear (PTG). Cadets who do not have PTGs will wear conservative athletic attire. This includes: white/grey shirt (tucked-in), black shorts, white/black socks no higher than calf length. 3. AFROTC Detachment 105 cadets participate in Physical Training to enhance their own physical competence and overall fitness. PT workouts should be challenging and test cadets both physically and mentally. 6 Safety Considerations: Risk Assessment Matrix Probability Frequent Likely Occasional Seldom Unlikely Catastrophic Critical 3 Moderate 1,2 4,5 Negligible Severity # Risk Description Mitigation 1 Inclement weather - Cadets should monitor the forecast and be prepared with appropriate clothing, accessories 2 Muscle cramps - The wing shall warm-up and stretch at the beginning and end of each PT session 3 Heat exhaustion - Cadets should self-monitor for exhaustion during PT and notify the CW/SE or a cadre member if initial symptoms occur 4 Dehydration - Cadets should be hydrating, especially the day before PT ¾ to 1 gallon of water recommended 5 Icy road conditions - Cadets should allot ample time to warm-up cars, defrost windshields and drive safely to PT Inclement Weather Plan: 1. If the CW/PFO, any crosstown PFO, or any PFL believes weather is a safety hazard for cadets at their respective schools, they will notify the CW/SE. The CW/SE will inform our cadre about the situation, and the cadre will make the final decision on whether or not to cancel PT. If the CW/SE can t get ahold of cadre, they will contact the CW/CC, who will make the final decision on whether or not PT is safe. If the CW/SE cannot get in contact with the CW/CC, he/she will make the final decision. An urgent THUD will be sent to the CW to notify cadets of any cancellation. JOSHUA A.
