Myers Hall 1304 N. 17 th St. Manhattan, KS Dear Incoming Air Force ROTC Cadet, Welcome to Detachment 270, home of the Wildcat Warriors! In order to facilitate a smooth transition into the Air Force ROTC program, we are holding new cadet orientation on August 18th. Check-in for orientation is from at the north entrance of General Richard B. Myers Hall. Please bring all required documentation that is listed on the instruction sheet below. There is no required uniform for this event. In addition to the 18 August orientation, all High School Scholarship Cadets need to arrive at 1300 on 17 August 2018 for additional in-processing paperwork. Uniform for scholarship cadets on both days is the purple polo and khaki uniform outlined in the instructions below. This orientation is completely voluntary but highly encouraged, as it will aid your transition and make the first week of college and AFROTC easier. Friends and family are welcome and encouraged to attend the parent session, the Oath of Enlistment ceremony and the burger burn. Please reference the orientation instructions and schedule for more details on the day s events. 3 Uniform Information --The new cadet uniform is a plain K-State purple polo, full-length khaki pants (no shorts/capris/skirts), closed toe shoes (no heals/pumps/sandals), all items are provided by the cadet. cadets are NOT required to be in uniform for orientation, this will be required the first week for both class and Leadership Lab. ---You may order the purple Air Force ROTC polo for $25. Send in the enclosed merchandise form with a check made out to Wildcat Warriors *NO money or orders will be collected during orientation, only pre-orders will be facilitated. Polo s can be purchased at a later date if you do not pre-order.
