Die Rettung von Personen aus absturzgefährdeten Bereichen, z.b. begrenzten Räumen, Kränen, Klippen, Seilbahnen, etc. ist eine spezielle Herausforderung für die Feuerwehren und die medizinischen Rettungsdienste. To provide the best possible help for victims it would be necessary that the rescuers are multi-skilled both in rope rescue techniques and in medical emergency response. Um die bestmögliche Hilfe für Betroffene zur Verfügung zu stellen, würde es notwendig sein, dass die Retter multi-funktional sowohl in der Spezialrettung als auch der medizinischen Rettung ausgebildet wären. 11

12 Reason for the project Due to the general task of the fire service fire fighting and rescue - on one hand and the ambulance service urgent medical response and patient transport - on the other hand the necessary multi-skills are very often not provided by the standard vocational training program of these organizations due to the national common practice. Wegen des generellen Auftrags der Feuerwehr der Brandbekämpfung und der technischen Rettung - einerseits und derjenigen der Rettungsdienste der dringenden medizinischen Rettung und des Krankentransports - andererseits wird in vielen Ländern diese multi-funktionale Ausbildung nicht im Rahmen der Regelausbildung für den jeweiligen Beruf angeboten Main aims and objectives: The project is aiming at enhancing the material developed in the Leonardo project E-rescue (LU/03/B/P/PP156000) by adding special information about triage (health status of victims) and medical treatment under emergency conditions. Ziel des Projekts ist die Erweiterung der im Leonardo Projekt E-Rescue (LU/03/B/P/PP156000) entwickelten Lehrmaterialien um Informationen über Triage (Gesundheitszustand der Opfer) und notfallmedizinsche Behandlung 12

13 Main aims and objectives: The didactical concept and material of the previous project will be applied to the sector of ambulance services and/or medical doctors which do not have own specific training programs for rope rescue. Das didaktische Konzept sowie das Lehrmaterial des Vorläuferprojekts wird für das Rettungsdienstpersonal und die Notfallmediziner aufbereitet, welche keine Ausbildung in der Höhenrettung erhalten haben Characteristics of the partnership: The partnership provides special experience of medical emergency doctors / emergency medical response (EMS) personell on one side and special rescue teams on one side. Both types of partners will benefit from the special knowledge of the other partners. Die Partnerschaft stellt spezielle Erfahrung der Notfallmediziner / der Rettungssanitäter auf der einen Seite und der Spezialrettungsgruppen auf der anderen Seite zur Verfügung. Beide Partnergruppen profitieren vom speziellen Wissen der anderen Partner. 13

14 Outcomes of the project: Curriculum for training in medical emergency response of rope rescue teams; Lehrplan für die notfallmedizinische Ausbildung der Spezialrettungsgruppen; DVD as didactical/learning material. DVD als Lehrmaterial für diese Ausbildung Impact envisaged: Rescue for victims in fall endangered areas will be more efficient because the necessary medical treatment in remote locations can provided by trained responders on the spot. Rettung für Patienten in absturzgefährdeten Bereichen wird effizienter, weil die notwendige ärztliche Behandlung dort von den entsprechend ausgebildeten Rettungskräften unmittelbar ohne zeitlichen Verzug geleistet werden kann. 14

16 Dissemination and Exploitation Workpackage 5 Produce an integrated plan between all the project partners for the dissemination of the results / outputs of this project to the wider emergency service community in the EU. Produce a feedback report on the successful exploitation of the products in the partner countries and in the FEU community during the project. Plan and lead partner meeting to finalise dissemination activities Dissemination and Exploitation Conferences Special conferences and/or in refresher trainings on the various countries The final conference in Ig - Slovenian Training Centre for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief - will be dedicated especially to the dissemination in the applicant country Slovenia as well as to the EUSR group. 16

17 Dissemination and Exploitation INTERNET (sub-contract) Presentation of the project and its results url: is already well known in the rope rescue scene for more than 5 years A lot of requests have been generated with this tool and will undoubtedly do it also in the future when the results of the project can be published.
