2 1 GENERAL INFORMATION The Erasmus + program provide students with the opportunity to spend a mobility period abroad and to obtain the recognition of the performed academic activities, in a Partner institution situated in: Group 1 Groups 2 and 3 Austria, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Switzerland: mobility towards this country is only allowed to Université de Friborg (Law) and ZHAW (Linguistic and Cultural Intermediation). Such institutions will provide students with an economic support after their arrival. Selected students will aquire the Erasmus student status implying: Exemption form any tuition fee at the host institution; Use of student services if available (canteens, accommodation, etc.to be paid or for free); Participation to clanguage courses, if available (to be paid or for free)); 2 - WHO MAY APPLY Students enrolled to Bachelor, Master, PhD programs and Residency programs may apply if : Regularly enrolled; Not delayed; Enrolled to part-time programs as well; At least one exam has been registered by the deadline of this call, students not satisfying this condition will be automatically excluded. They have already been granted with an Erasmus mobility period, for Study or traineeship and comply to the Erasmus rules; They are about to graduate Students may not apply if: Not regularly enrolled (Delayed or repeating a year of study); Enrolled to bachelor programs of the health area, however they may apply to the Erasmus traineeship call; During the same Academic Year, they are Grant holders of any other European fund, even if not directly managed by the International Relations Office. 2

3 3 - WHY TO APPLY Mobility periods are assigned for: Attending abroad courses that are consistent with the ones delivered by the home institution and pass exams; Preparing the final dissertation; If available, performing lab activities. During the mobility period, the student must perform out the didactic-scientific activities indicated in the Learning Agreement (Erasmus + study plan). The mobility period stay at the host university must not last less than 3 months, nor longer than 12 months. The list of available destinations is published on LLP Manager portal: Students must choose the destinations exclusively among the ones available for their study programs or scientific areas and for the entire duration of the agreed period: under no circumstances, even in the event of lack of candidates or vacant places, different destinations for different study programs or scientific areas can be chosen. Students are required to consult, before submitting their application, the website of partner universities, autonomously and under their personal responsibility, in order to: Verify the language requirements; Assess the consistency between the study plan at the home institution and the academic offer of the host institution; we suggest to take a look of the lists of exams passed by prevoious years erasmus students available on Verify that the chosen activities are consistent with the ones included in the study program at the home institution or if different activities could be chosen and recognized as optional activitie; Respect any prerequisite included in the study plan of the home institution 4 - HOW TO APPLY Application must be exclusively submitted online through the web page: using the personal credentials for the students web services, starting form 1pm of 07/02/2018 until 1pm of 07/03/2018. The deadline is to be considered peremptory, not derogable for any reason; we therefore strongly suggest to apply on time, avoiding the last useful days. Application may be submitted without waiting any profile update (exam registration) as the system will extract all the actual results on the same date of the call deadline. Such results (grades and credits) will be used to calculate the ranking points through the Erasmus + formula. 3

4 During the online application, students may enter three destinations, among the ones available for the study program, in order of preference. Students will be required to declare their availability to accept different destinations if, according to the ranking list, the chosen ones have already been assigned to other candidates. Students may not accept the assigned destination without affecting their participation to further Erasmus calls, both for study or traineeship. No hard copies of the application are to be submitted to the International Relations Office. However we suggest to print a copy of the application to be considered as a receipt and a proof of the online application. ATTENTION! If needed, students may access their online application page, even after the submission, to modify contact details if needed, furthermore students are required to: Enter a valid address, beside the officialo ne on the University servers; Enter a valid telephone number. 5 - SELECTIONS Selections will be exclusively based on the ranking point resulting from the Erasmus + formula. Such formula takes into account all the didactical activities taht have been registered on the personal profile by 1pm of 07/03/2018 therefore no grades or credits achieved after this date can be considered. We suggest to submit your application well before the deadline as the system will extract all the updated results on the same date of the call deadline. In case of exams positively performed but not yet registered students may contact the teachers asking to complete the registration before the call deadline. Recognized external activities recorded on the profile will be considered only in case of official laguage certifictes issued by international organizations (IELTS, TRINITY, TOEFL, DELF, DELE, ZD, ZDfB); 6 - RANKING LIST, GRANTS ACCEPTANCE, WITHDRAWAL The ranking lists (one for each program or scientific area) will be published by 10 working days from the call deadline. The publication of the ranking lists will be notified to the candidates by , no further communication will be sent. There is a penalty for all those who, once accepted the mobility, without a relevant and documented reason, do not give more information about it within the dates below and do not respect the deadlines for the production of documents and any other necessary action requested by the host institution; this penalty consists in the block of the career until the student will give notice of his/her intentions, furthermore students not respecting the deadlines will not be allowed to apply for Erasmus mobility both for the Erasmus Traineeship call and for the Erasmus Study call. 4

5 Students are required to formally accept the assignation, start to prepare the documentation and, in general, keep in touch with the International Relations Office no later than the following dates: 06/06/2018 for students starting the mobility period in August /10/2018 for students starting the mobility period in January FINANCIAL ASPECTS The scholarship consists of one or two of the following contributions: A monthly European contribution, with a different amount according to the country of destination: 300 al Austria, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, United Kingdom, Sweden mese Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland Portugal, Czech Republic, Republic of Macedonia, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary. A monthly Institutional Contribution, amounting 400; 250 al mese Candidates will benefit of both contributions (European + Institutional) according to the following conditions: - First cycle Students that, according to the Erasmus + formula, will achieve a score = or > than 24 - Second cycle Students that, according to the Erasmus + formula, will achieve a score = or > than 25 Candidates will benefit of Institutional contribution only according to the following conditions: - First cycle Students that, according to the Erasmus + formula, will achieve a score = or > 21 or > than 24 - Second cycle Students that, according to the Erasmus + formula, will achieve a score = or > 22 or > than 25 Candidates will not benefit of any contribution according to the following conditions: - First cycle Students that, according to the Erasmus + formula, will achieve a score < 21 - Second cycle Students that, according to the Erasmus + formula, will achieve a score < 22. 5

6 8 - OBLIGATIONS OF THE SELECTED STUDENTS Selected Students that will be granted with a mobility period, must Formally accept the assignation according to the indications of the International Relations Office; Respect all the deadlines related to the preparation and submission of documents according to the indications of the International Relations Office; Respect all the deadlines related to documents submission and registration procedures according to the indications of the host institution; Prepare the mandatory documents, in particular: o Undersign the financial agreement before the departure; o Fill accurately the Learning Agreement form, to be undersigned by the student and by the Departmental Coordinator o Collect all the documents required by the host institution (language certificates, Transcript of Records, ID) o Fill the certification of the mobility period to be signed by the host institution; Carry out the mobility period according to the dates indicated in the financial agreement; Perform the planned activities for at least 20 Credits per semester (40 per year); Perform the mandatory tests of the Online Language System according to the indications of the International Relations Office; Fill the final report after having received the message from the concerned EU portal. Students finishing their mobility period before the planned date must: Refund entirely the received grant if the mobility period is less than 90 days; If more than 90 days but less than what planned, refund part of the grant calculated on a daily base. The refund will correspond to the number of days between the actual finishing date and the planned one. Students not achieving 20 credits per semester must refund the entire amount of the grant. The number of credits that will be considered is the one indicated on the transcript of records issued by the host institution. Students not performing the mandatory tests of the Online Language must refund the entire amount of the grant. Students not filling the final report after having received the message from the concerned EU portal, must refund the entire amount of the grant. 6

7 9 -. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND REFERENCE RULES The grant assignation depends on the actual availability of funds. If the total amount availibile is not sufficient to guarantee all the grants, the International Relations Committee will recalculate the grants amount. Selected students willing to perform their mobility periods even without a financial contribution will be anyway recognized as Erasmus students.
