1 Mohawk Post No.1450 AMERICAN LEGION Vol. 39 P.O. BOX 4149 HALFMOON, NY (518) / NOV / DEC 2016 COMMANDERS MESSAGE Where did the summer go????? It was fast moving and quite warm...not complaining about the heat...loved it!!! We had a lot of good times throughout the summer at our Legion...always a great place to gather with friends, neighbors and family. Our Pavillon is closed and thanks to all the members and outside workers that made it a great success once again. It takes many hands to make all the good things happen here at YOUR POST. If you haven t been involved in volunteering your time, why not plan on stepping up and pitching in. As it gets colder we have to wander inside to meet the Quiz Master for our Trivia nights. This has always been a real fun night. If you haven t stopped by, why not give it a try. There are many teams...join one that is there or start one of your own. Football has started and we have nibbles to share on Sundays while we watch the games on the BIG-SCREEN!! So, come support your team and cheer them on. End of October we enjoyed Scary Karaoke in the lounge with lots of fun, dancing and funny costumes. Be to mark your calendars for next year because it really is a fun time. Upcoming is our Workers-Party to thank you to all who put in the time and effort to keep our Post the great place it is today. If you re not involved you miss out on this great gathering and all the other festivities that go on throughout the year...spice up your life & GET INVOLVED!!!!! Remember all our Veterans, our freedom is guaranteed through the dedication of all our Men & Women in uniform and their families who are currently engaged in personal sacrifice to support the war against terrorism. Please remember them each and every day and always let them know how much you appreciate them and their families. God Bless Post-1450 and God Bless America!!
