2 About ISDEIV The International Symposia on Discharge and Electrical Insulation in Vacuum (ISDEIV) is a non-profit, international organization whose purpose is to encourage the advancement of the science and application of electrical insulation and discharges in vacuum, primarily by conducting symposia for the exchange of scientific information. The Symposia are held biennially (even-numbered years). The symposia are interdisciplinary meetings for the exchange of results, presentation of progress, and discussion of ideas and challenges for the future in the field of electrical discharges and insulation in vacuum. Both fundamental and applied aspects are covered. Symposia program consist of invited talks, invited oral contributions, and posters. Minicourses and informal discussions on relevant topics may also be offered in addition to the regular Symposium schedule.

4 The 28 th ISDEIV 2018 in Greifswald The 28 th International Symposium on Discharges and Electrical Insulation in Vacuum will take place from 23 rd 28 th of September in Hanseatic City Greifswald located on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The conference will organized by the Institute of Physics // University of Greifswald and the Leibniz Institute of Plasma Science and Technologie. The main venue is the Institute of Biochemistry placed right between the organizing institutes next to the campus of the University of Greifswald. Close to the Baltic Sea, the city of Greifswald provides its inhabitants and students an hanseatic charme and maritime lifestyle. The Institute for Biochemistry is the main venue of the conference where all lectures and poster presentations will be held. The Atrium is the central place for coffeebreaks and lunch. It gives you the opportunity to be in contact with the internationale participants during the whole conference. The exhibition booths are between 6-12 sm.
