1 National Institute of Technical s Training & Research, Chandigarh List of Qualified/Eligible candidates for ME (Modular) Programmes Please find below the tentative lists of qualified/eligible candidates in respect of all the five ME Modular Programmes. The lists have been prepared as per the applications (alongwith the documents submitted by the candidates) and the admission criteria of the institute (available at institute website). The admission granted to the candidates at the time of counseling is PURELY PROVISIONAL subject to approval by the Panjab University, Chandigarh and fulfilling the requisite formalities and producing the original certificates of qualifications, experience and sponsorship at the time of counseling. Candidates failing to report (in person) for counseling on Tuesday, 30 th May, 2017 will forfeit the claim for admission. Second counseling, if any, for waitlisting candidates will be held on 6 th June, 2017 at 10.00AM. As notified the classes will commence from 08 th June, 2017.

2 For Kind Attention of Candidates under category Candidates who have applied for seeking admission to ME Modular Programmes under cateogy are required to furnish affidavit from Executive Magistrate at the time of counseling that he/she belongs to category (For an updated list of state-wise s eligible for availing the benefit of reservation, please see the list maintained by NCBC at its website: and that he/she does not belong to creamy layer (as per website as well as the clarifications issued by the Department of Personnel & Training on the definition of creamy layer & income criteria at April 2005.htm.) As per directions received from MHRD, the institute is implementing CEI Act, 2006, i.e., Policy of Reservation of 27% seats for the s. However, the number of seats for the eral Category will remain the same. For the year , Total No. of seats in each of ME (Modular) Programmes (for sponsored Polytechnics/ing s regular teachers, officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, universities and officials/staff of NITTTRs) are 40. Out of 40 seats, 6 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates, 3 seats for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 1 seat for Physically Handicapped candidates, 11 seats for candidates and remaining 19 seats are for eral category teachers. However, vacant seats, if any, under sponsored teacher category candidates in all ME (Modular) programmes will be filled up from amongst corresponding eligible sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations.

3 ME Mechanical ing (Manufacturing Technology) Modular Programme List of Qualified/Eligible candidates QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION A Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engg/Manufacturing ing (or Technology)/Production /Industrial /Automobile ing from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% of marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization. Total numbers of seats in the ME Mechanical ing (Manufacturing Technology) Modular Programme are 40 for sponsored Polytechnic/ing Regular teachers, officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, Universities and officials/staff of NITTTRs. However, vacant seats, if any, under sponsored teacher category candidates in ME (Modular) programme will be filled up from amongst corresponding eligible sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations. Reservation 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 3% for disabled candidates and 27% for candidates. Out of 40 seats, 06 seats are reserved for SC, 03 seats for ST, 01 seat for disabled and 11 seats for candidates. PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST Sponsored Candidates The Institute prepares a merit list of all sponsored eligible candidates based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in all the semesters/years of qualifying examination and the total experience. The admission is granted to candidates strictly according to the merit list, prepared as follows: (i) Qualification Multiplying Factor % of marks in BE or its equivalent X 0.4 (ii) Experience One score for each number of completed years of total experience on the last day of receiving application gained after obtaining minimum entry qualification subject to a maximum of ten. Note: The total score calculated based on qualifications and experience as mentioned in (i) and (ii) above should not be less than 25.

22 ME Electronics & Communication ing (Modular) 2017 List of Qualified/Eligible candidates QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ADMISSION A Bachelor s Degree in Electronics and Communication ing from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least 60% of marks in aggregate and post qualification experience of atleast 1 year (2 years in case of AMIE) in teaching/industry/research organization. Total number of seats in the ME Electronics and Communication (Modular) Programme are 40 for sponsored Polytechnic/ing Regular teachers, officials of Directorates and Boards of Technical Education, Universities and officials/staff of NITTTRs. However, vacant seats, if any, under sponsored teacher category candidates in ME (Modular) programme will be filled up from amongst corresponding eligible sponsored candidates from industry and other organizations. Reservation 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 3% for disabled candidates and 27% for candidates. Out of 40 seats, 06 seats are reserved for SC, 03 seats for ST, 01 seat for disabled and 11 seats for candidates. PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST Sponsored Candidates The Institute prepares a merit list of all sponsored eligible candidates based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in all the semesters/years of qualifying examination and the total experience. The admission is granted to candidates strictly according to the merit list, prepared as follows: (i) Qualification Multiplying Factor % of marks in BE or its equivalent X 0.4 (ii) Experience One score for each number of completed years of total experience on the last day of receiving application gained after obtaining minimum entry qualification subject to a maximum of ten. Note: The total score calculated based on qualifications and experience as mentioned in (i) and (ii) above should not be less than 25.
