Station 5 Adult and Pediatric Airway Room 502 Simulate use of various airway management equipment and learn about key differences in airway management for adult and pediatric patients. Station 7 OB Postpartum Hemorrhage Emergency Butler Hall: 2nd Floor Room 203 A Simulate placement of atamponade balloons, used in the management of post-partum hemorrhage; estimate quantitative blood loss (QBL) using simulated materials and learn PPH best practice. Station 8 Pediatric Anaphylaxis and Respiratory Distress Room 107 A Learn evidence-based practice in early identification, appropriate resources and equipment, and management of a pediatric respiratory emergency, including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) algorithms for an anaphylactic reaction. Located on a 66-acre campus in Yakima, WA, PNWU has 15 core rotation sites in communities around the Pacific Northwest. Hospitals and clinics in the region have welcomed PNWU-COM students, training them in the clinical settings where they will eventually practice.
