Station 7 OB Postpartum Hemorrhage Emergency Butler Hall: 2nd Floor Room 203 A Simulate placement of atamponade balloons, used in the management of post-partum hemorrhage; estimate quantitative blood loss (QBL) using simulated materials and learn PPH best practice. Station 8 Pediatric Anaphylaxis and Respiratory Distress Room 107 A Learn evidence-based practice in early identification, appropriate resources and equipment, and management of a pediatric respiratory emergency, including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) algorithms for an anaphylactic reaction. Since 2008, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences has provided education and training for health care professionals emphasizing service among rural and medically underserved communities throughout the Northwest. Located on a 66-acre campus in Yakima, WA, PNWU has 15 core rotation sites in communities around the Pacific Northwest. Hospitals and clinics in the region have welcomed PNWU-COM students, training them in the clinical settings where they will eventually practice.
