3 Duties and Responsibilities of the Function as Overall Coordinator Life Support Center, : 1. Teaching advance paramedic courses such as basic paramedic course, also ITLS, AMLS, and PHTLS. 2. Under American Heart Association (AHA) I am also teaching (BLS) Basic Life Support, (ACLS) Advance Cardiac Life Support and (PALS) Pediatric Life Support. 3. I am in line with the different researches in the academic and in Emergency setting hospital and pre hospital set up. 4. I am responsible with all the planning and supervising all the life support courses in the university that our department is conducting. Insuring the Quality and Standards of the accrediting body are followed. 5. I am also responsible for all the reaccreditation process of the following organizations as faculty and instructor for all the mentioned governing agencies (AHA) American Heart Association, (AREMT) Australian Registry for Emergency Medical Technician. (ITLS) International Trauma Life Support and lastly the (AMLS) Advance Medical Life Support. 6. I am also dealing with the different activities as mentor and faculty of our Paramedic College. 7. Reporting to the Director of the Life Support unit Duties and Responsibilities of the Function as Nurse Educator: 1. Author and arranger of the hospital policy, procedures and guidelines of Nursing Department. Of Al- Hayat National Hospital CBAHI Accredited, NAJD Consulting Hospital CBAHI Accredited and Dr. Ahmad Abanamy Hospital CBAHI Accreditation on Process and lastly arranger and implementer of Al inma medical Services Nursing PPG in preparation of JCI Accreditation. 2. Participates in the General Nursing Orientation Program as delegated. 3. Prepares all nursing staff in the aspect of Knowledge, Skills and Aptitude in any nursing procedure. 4. Provide theoretical/ clinical direction and guidance to designated clinical areas on a unit and / or individual staff nurse basis as delegated. 5. Identifies the individual and collective educational needs of the staff. 6. Follow-up and assess new orienties and provide individualized educational/clinical strategies where applicable. 7. Develop and implement clinical strategies for staff who are clinically referred via Nursing Administration. 8. Assist in the development of a monthly educational calendar. 9. Serves on Nursing departmental and interdepartmental committees. 10. Ensures that the competency skills and knowledge of all nurses remain current in the following practice areas. (see staff competency check list) 11. Maintains and updates all educational and clinical competencies in a staff profile for all nurses, kept. The profile will be kept by Nursing Education. 12. Provide feedback regarding educational/clinical activities through Monthly Report which is forwarded to the Director of Nursing. 13. Acts as a clinical resource person in development and reviewing patient care standards, Policies and Procedures and in Quality Improvement initiatives. 14. Perform related duties assigned by the Director of Nursing.
