53 IMPACT A Doctor s Order The most beneficial piece of the program for me was having access to many resources, links, and documents that I will use for years to come. Ajer comple&ng the program, I have seen a posi&ve change in our workflow management as compared to before. Many Physicians are not interested in the nuts and bolts of billing/coding/prac&ce management, but with the evolu&on in health care it is not enough to just deliver the care. Understanding the changes in documenta&on and the importance of accurate, reliable, and current data are paramount to surviving the new normal The cheese is moving. - Dr. Stevens - Pediatrician
54 IMPACT Pharmacy Management Enthusiasm With the HIT Project and my newly acquired skills, I was able to create a streamlined workflow for our Formulary Service Vendor Updates! Ajer comple&ng the program, I no longer view my posi&on as a single en&ty but am now able to focus on how my employment du&es are related to the overall scheme and how important each sec&on is! - Don Carpenter - Pharmacy Management
55 IMPACT Informa&on Management The program afforded the opportunity to learn about how to plan, execute and evaluate clinical workflow opportuni&es u&lizing Healthcare IT. The Health IT Workforce Program reinforces the compe&&on for the delivery of quality health services to pa&ents is increasing. As a result, the urgency to meet the needs of our pa&ents is impera&ve. Ac&vely, healthcare organiza&ons are making serious progress in reworking the delivery of healthcare while focusing on pa&ent safety, pa&ent sa&sfac&on, and performance improvement. S&mulated by several factors such as the necessity to compete in the global marketplace, where produc&on costs are ojen significantly lower; the ongoing explosion in technologic advances; exponen&al expenditures for healthcare services; and corporate consumer pressure to improve value and safety. - Norma Bookie Ginter Informa&on Management
