It is often carried out as a large-scale industrial process, and is an essential part of publishing and transaction printing. However, it is an ancient technique and added core value in e process of communication. It has not only revolutionized e communication, but also enhanced e effect on e readers. It all started in China wi woodblock printing around 220 A.D and since en it kept on exploring new dimensions. Print has not only managed to prove e importance of it in various fields, but also has registered a sustainable grow. It has many aspects at were explored during e industrial revolution and print as a segment has managed to create its place wi a loud impact on people's mind. Aspire is a unique initiative commenced by AIFMP to encourage, promote and celebrate e creative work in e print industry. The importance of print has been recognized across e various segments over e period. ASPIRE, invites, judge and celebrate e work in e printing industry. It is an event, where diverse minds meet and explore new ideas at eventually create printing solutions. It is an unique platform for ose, who believe in producing good work and raising print standards. This is a small, but inspiring step towards creating awareness about e print industry and explore new technologies in e print field. This is a stage to gaer and exchange ideas at enhances e quality of e print industry. Indeed, AIFMP not only recognizes e work from e industry but also provides opportunities to e students of printing by encouraging eir participation. It was initiated by Government of India for e first time in 1955 by DAVP and was designed as President's Awards. During at time e Vice President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan was e first chief guest and awarded certificates and prizes of excellence. These particular awards are e best possible way to welcome e competition and respect e innovative ways. AIFMP NAEP Awards are e only awards supported by Government of India. Year 1996 was considered as a milestone in Indian Printing Industry, where All India Federation of Masters Printers (AIFMP) took an ambitious step of managing ese awards. The very first National Awards for Excellence in Printing was organized under e flagship of AIFMP in year 1999 at New Delhi followed by Chennai in 2002, Mumbai 2005, Kolkata 2008, New Delhi 2010 and 2012.

5 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1 The jobs printed between November 2012 to May 2013 will be eligible to qualify for e 8 NAEP Entry may be submitted by any printing company/ prepress house/ post press house located wiin India. All entries must be actual jobs executed by e entrant for clients and subject to verification. 3. There is a fee of Rs. 500 per entry, however first entry will be free only accompanied wi anoer paid entry i.e. first two entries will be Rs. 500 and followed by Rs. 500 for rest. There is no limit to participate in any category however; e entry form should be completed. Form 'C' may be used as covering letter and must be sent duly filled, separately at e office of e PPOA at: 8 NAEP 2013 Collection Centre Mudrakbhavan, 1078, Sadashiv Pe, Near Shanipar, Pune , Phone: , There is no restriction on e type of stocks; artwork or photographs from overseas sources. However, reproduction including pre-press, printing and finishing must be produced entirely wiin e country. The printed works produced wi e help of overseas units or submitted from foreign countries will be immediately disqualified. 5. Two copies of each job entered are required. An official entry form should be completed for each job entered (please take photocopies of blank entry forms). Form has two sections A and B. Section A will be used to catalogue all entries and to identify e person/ company for receiving of e awards. This section will not be shown to e juries. Section B is for e technical details at will be revive by e judging panel and must be affixed at e back or to a convenient place of each entry. Details submitted on e entry form would be used as copy matter for preparation of e award certificate and for e award catalogue / blackbook. The committee accepts no responsibility for any inaccuracies in e details submitted. Section A form must be sent wi e entry in e same packet but in a different envelope. Each entry will be considered and evaluated for its aesetic value and print quality. The submitted sample will be assumed to be e representative of e total print run. The judges may also reclassify any entry where it is not to e disadvantage of e entrant. 7. The objective of e contest is to reward e innovative work and encourage new talent every year. The categories are Gold, Silver and one certificate of merit. However, exceptional work will definitely get e attention if needed. There may also be occasions where entries are considered to e below achievable standards and awards (eier First, Second or Third) will not be made. Reserve prizes may be awarded to e entry at does not technically meet e category specifications or has minor technical flaw in e sample submitted but in all oer respects is wory of e award. 8. 6 National awards for excellence in printing capacity classification of participants Applicable to 'Group: Offset'. 'Group: Web Offset' & 'Group: Small Offset' only. To facilitate fair competition, all entries submitted under e offset and web offset category are fuer sub-divided into ree competing entry groups viz. Small (CS), Medium (CM) and Large (CL). It has been grouped on e basis of number of printing units installed in e company of e participant. It is worked out in e following way, a single color machine is ONE UNIT, double color machine TWO UNITS, four color machine FOUR UNITS and so on. The printer has to sum up all e units installed in his press to get e total units. This information is to be provided by e participant rough e 'Entry Form' and also to certify it in e 'Payment / Entry (s) Submission Form' (Form 'C') 1 to 5 units Capacity Small (CS) 6 to 15 units Capacity Medium (CM) Above 15 units Capacity Large (CL) Group: Small Offset is for e print houses wi capacity of 1 to 3 units.
