3 Member Kudos page 3 Member: : Sharon Bone, Mary Kay Kudos: Sharon Bone recently attended the Mary Kay Seminar in Dallas, Texas. As an All-Star Consultant, she was invited to attend a special luncheon and a fabulous party at Gilley s! Mary Kay put on an exclusive event which included an awesome live band, armadillo races and line dancing. Everyone was given a red cowboy hat and some prizes. Sharon received prizes for achieving Princess Court of Sales and for being #1 in Unit Sales. She also received a gorgeous Coach bag for her level of sales in the month of June. Congratulations Sharon!! Member: Dr. Daniel Marston, Marston Psychology Services Kudos: Dr. Daniel Marston, owner of Marston Psychological Services, recently had his book Comparative Psychology for Clincial Psychologists and Therapists: What Studying Animal Behavior Can Tell Us about Human Psychology published by Jessica Kinsgley Publishers (London). Congratulations Dr. Marston!! Sharon Bone Member: Irwin Business & Professional Association. Kudos: IBPA had a fantastic event, Gig On Main on Saturday, July 16, The event brought approximately 4,500 people into Downtown Irwin. It featured 4 bands: Safety Last, Big Trouble, Tres Lads and Dancing Queen. There were 8 food trucks from Greensburg, Delmont and Pittsburgh. Quinn Brewing Company s Beer was featured in the beer garden on 4th Street. Member: Cheesecake Caffé Kudos: Cheesecake Caffé is celebrating their 10-Year Anniversary! The Cheesecake Caffé opened on Main Street in downtown Irwin on July 25, Christy and Kevin Kemerer were the original owners and several years later sold the business to Caroline and Joe Lewis. When the Cheesecake Caffé first opened, the menu included some lunch items, baked goods an espresso bar and cheesecakes! Since then, they have changed the menu three times adding breakfast, more lunch items and their famous cupcakes! Caroline and Joe have also added catering, children s parties, cookie table services for weddings, and coming soon, girls night out activities such as BYOB learn to decorate a cake classes! The Cheesecake Caffé is planning a 10-Year Anniversary week in September that will include a wine, beer and cheesecake pairing event, giveaways, another chance to win a cheesecake each month for a year, raffles, donations to charities that staff will pick each day and more! Keep an eye out for their events! Congrats to the Cheesecake Caffé! We wish you many years of continued success!! Dr. Daniel Marston Member: Chick-fil-A Greengate Centre Kudos: On Saturday, August 27, 2016, Chick-fil-A Greengate Centre celebrated their 5-Year Anniversary. Chick-fil-A Greengate Centre is happy to celebrate 5 years of serving our wonderful community. All of the guests, friends and families were invited to the annual Anniversary Party. The party offered free activities for children including an obstacle course, snow cones, caricatures and crafts with Home Depot, Operation Christmas Child, Macaroni Kid N. Huntingdon and more!

4 Knowledge is Power The 4th Annual MPS Kickball Tournament was a huge success again and the Norwin Chamber of Commerce along with many of its members where proud to be sponsors! page 4 On August 13, 2016, Metal Photo Service hosted their 4th Annual Charity Kickball Event at PAL Ballfields. On the hottest day of the year, they had well over 200 people show up to support a great cause and play some kickball! This year, MPS raised $11,000 for The Michael & Dylan Cavalier Bone Marrow Transplant Fund. Michael (7) and Dylan (5) were diagnosed with a very rare primary immune deficiency called Chronic Granulomatous Disease. Sadly, Michael passed away shortly after the transplant. Dylan continues to do well and is growing stronger every day! Their parents, Mike & Jana, plan to use some of the money for research of this rare disease and also to help other families fighting the same disease. Jason & Tara Saunders, owners of MPS, are beyond grateful that they are able to help families through this yearly event! Plans for the 2017 Tournament are already in the works! Ask how you can be involved!
