3 Each year, Citizens Bank asks employees and directors to report the total hours they have spent helping others in the community. 134 people nearly 80% of total team members responded to the 2016 survey and reported a total of 9,700 hours of volunteer time, for an average of over 72 hours per person last year. This is an increase of 420 volunteer hours over last year, and 900 volunteer hours over the last two years.

8 THE REBIRTH OF B THE IDEA 4TH YEAR SUMMER 2008 Two Mukwonago High School freshmen come up with the idea for the Books & Bears program. Their goal is to foster the love of reading and give a special gift to children whose families are served by local food pantries. FALL 2011 Now high school seniors, the founding students prepare their fourth and final round of packages for Books & Bears. Sadly, the group that was lined up to carry on the program doesn t follow through on the plans. OCTOBER 2016 C d b a FALL 2008 The students seek donations of new children s books and new stuffed animals. The books and toys are packaged together in gift sets and taken to the Mukwonago Food Pantry. Parents and guardians are able to choose age appropriate gift packages for their children. DONATIONS SUMMER 2016 Realizing how much & Bears program ha missed, a Citizens Ba employee and the one of the founding s rallies co workers to program back. PROGRAM I

The packages are distributed to families along with Thanksgiving food baskets. the Books s been nk mom of tudents bring the EARLY NOV A local Girl Scout troop assists bank employees in sorting and packaging the books and toys together. A total of 138 gift sets are made for children ranging in age from infant to pre teen. LATE 2016 Based on the success of the program the first year it was revived, bank employees working at offices outside of Mukwonago offer to help expand the program in 2017 by partnering with food pantries in the other communities served by Citizens Bank. 10 SPOTLIGHT ON The Relay for Life event has been held in Mukwonago since Citizens Bank has put together a team every year for the last 21 years. The Citizens Bank team, Banking on a Cure, has raised over $105,000 for American Cancer Society. Banking on a Cure has been Mukwonago s top fundraising team several times. Approximately 25 employees and family members volunteer to walk on the bank s relay team each June.

12 2016 DRESS DOWN DAYS On the third Friday of every month, bank employees can make a donation to a designated charity for the privilege of wearing jeans to work that day. In 2016, Citizens Bank employees raised over $7,500 to support many causes. 13 THE FINANCIAL SIDE Members of the Citizens Bank team don t just give generously of their time they also give generously from their pocketbooks. Employees and directors reported contributing $83,683 in monetary donations as well as donations of clothing, food, household products, and more. In addition to the personal contributions made by employees and directors, Citizens Bank s donations, support, and sponsorships of $83,249 in 2016 resulted in a tremendous impact in our communities.

14 125 Years of Giving Back, Looking Forward Citizens Bank has a milestone anniversary on the horizon and plans to celebrate it in a big way. The bank has announced an enrichment campaign for 2017, in which $125,000 will be channeled into the community through corporate donations, organizational support, community sponsorships, special events, and a giveaway sweepstakes open to individuals. Renewing its commitment to the communities it serves, the bank and its employees are seeking out opportunities to support more local, grassroots types of organizations that fulfill the immediate needs of our neighbors. The bank recognizes that without its team of loyal employees who have so generously donated their time and talents for generations it would not be here today, looking forward to a future of even greater impact.
