SAN BERNARDINO The BULLETIN administered as follows in A-117; October 8, 1971 The Student Health Center is offering flu shots again this year to all students, faculty and staff. During October vaccine will be Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 11:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. Tuesday - 9:00 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. Thursday - 8:00 a.m. to ]0;00 a.m. The vaccine used this year is a more purified type and should not cause as many side-effects as in previous years. The shots will be administered to students free of charge. Faculty and staff will be charged $1, payable at the Bursar's office prior to coming to the Health Center. Influenza protection is especially urged for those with chronic illness (especially heart or lung disease) and those particularly susceptible to respiratory infections. DIRECTORY FORMS NOT ALL RETURNED Over 25 employees of the College have failed to return the staff directory forms listipg information to be included in the College Directory, which is in the process of being typed. Please hand-carry all forms which have not been forwarded to the College Relations Office, A-149. INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS OFFICE REORGANIZED. MOVED TO CHANCELLOR'S OFFICE The Office of International Programs has been relocated from San Francisco to the Los Angeles headquarters of the California State Colleges. Chancellor Dumke said the program will be reorganized and placed under supervision of William B. Langsdorf, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, as the result of the resignation of Dr. Thomas P. Lantos as program director. Dr. Lee Kershner, Asst. Executive Vice Chancellor, will assvime temporary direction of the program. On the CSCSB campus, Mireille Rydell, Assoc. Prof, of French, has been appointed International Programs campus representative and is attending a meeting in Los Angeles today called by the Chancellor.

Please call Ext. 418 or drop by A-149 for further information. E.G.P. COORDINATOR NOW ON CAMPUS Pedro F. Lopez has been named Coordinator, E.O.P Supportive Services. The young man, a recent social sciences graduate of University of California, Riverside, has worked with MEChA organizations and the Coalition de la Raza of Riverside. Mr. Lopez, who joined the Student Services staff this week, will work under the direction of Larry Johnson, E.O.P. Director. He extends an invitation to all E.O.P. students to drop by his office and welcomes suggestions on what the E.O.P. office can do to be of service to the students. * PEOPLE IN Lee Kalbus (Chemistry) has an article in The Analyst, THE NEWS The Journal of the Society for Analytical Chemistry, co-authored by his brother Gene Kalbus and Robert Wesley of Cal State, Long Beach, entitled "Potentiometiric Deteimiination of Mercury (II) with Dithiooxamide," July, 1971 issue. Edna Steinman (Public Affairs) is appearing on several panels today and tomorrow at the state conference of the American Association of University Women in Anaheim. She is a state officer and is also president of the Redlands Branch of AAUW. 2

4 t If -vtw Direct from India... CONCERT OF INDIAN MUSIC Two of South India's ON CAMPUS NEXT MONDAY foremost musicians will perform on campus next Monday, October 11, 8:15 p.m. ' N. Ramani, fluist, and Lalgudi G. Jayaraman, violinist, will present a concert in PS-10. Also performing with the noted maestros will be Ranganathan, rardangam (South Indian drum) player, and a tamboura (drone instru- ^ ment)player. The only other opportunity to hear these artists will be at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia the following night. Ramani is coming to the CSCSB campus to visit with his former student, Richard Saylor, Music Department Chairman, in his second trip outside his native India. The noted violinist, Jayaraman, is also on his second tour outside India. Admission to the concert is free and open to the public. REMINDERS... Frederick Campbell, liaison officer for the Danforth Graduate Fellowship program,urges all faculty who know of seniors or recent graduates who have serious interest in college teaching as a career and who plan to study for a Ph.D., to contact him (Ext. 331, A-131).... Columbus Day, Monday, October 11, is a regular work and class day for the College.... Students and faculty who re-arrange classroom furniture during their class periods are asked to return the chairs and desks to their original positions....
