Some counties have experienced more oversight than others, depending on the complexity and nature of the work being performed. This session will explain the rules of the program by ODOT and the experience of Licking County for the York Road bridge replacement project, and will be followed up with a panel discussion about experiences by other county engineers. 4 The advances that have been made in parcel management have culminated in the development of the ArcGIS Parcel Editing Solution (APES). This solution consists of a data model (parcel fabric), editing environment, tools (parcel editor) and workflows for editing parcels in the local government information model. There has been a lot of buzz over the past couple of years around this new environment and naturally a lot of learning pains. Fortunately we have taken on the tasks of understanding the ins and outs/dos and don ts of this environment so you don t have to! This presentation will focus on an overview of the Parcel Fabric and how it fits into a modern land records implementation, our experiences/case studies with migrating data into the parcel fabric, editing workflows within the APES environment and tips and tricks we have picked up along the way to ensure that your experience within the APES will be smooth and efficient. Van O Brien, Director of Solutions and Services, The Sidwell Company p.m. OGRIP Spatial Data Initiatives* The session will provide updates on current data development, sharing and distribution activities of the Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program and discuss the value of local spatial information programs in support of State, National and Federal activities. Jeff Smith, OSDI Manager, Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program, DAS/OIT 10:30-11:20 a.m. OPERS Changes to Retiree Health Care Future retiree healthcare changes and how it could impact reemployed individuals in county offices will be highlighted p.m. CEAO Attendee Lunch in Meeting Room 12-3:15 p.m. Public Records Training Ohio elected officials, or their appropriate designees, are required to receive approved training regarding their obligations under Ohio Public Records Act during their term of office. This approved training course will discuss the obligations and liabilities of public offices under the Act. The course will include information on records exempted from the Act, and how to negotiate, document, and properly respond to public records requests. The training includes discussion of the Ohio Records Retention laws and an overview of Ohio s Open Meeting Act. 5 1-3 p.m. New 2016 ALTA/NSPS Standards* The 2011 Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys have been revised and the new 2016 version identified now as the ALTA/NSPS Standards - will become effective February 23, In this program, participants will be briefed on the process of revision and provided a copy of the new Standards. The most significant modifications for 2016 will be highlighted and explained in detail. The rest of the program will be spent in a review of the various research, field, drafting and certification requirements of the 2016 Standards, and of the twenty Table A requirements, some of which have been modified substantially.
