2 continuing medical Update in Advanced Target Audience Purpose and Content Educational Objectives Pulmonologists, Cardiologists, Internists, Residents, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and other healthcare workers interested in current options and technologies being utilized in the treatment of advanced lung disease. Over the past two years, the fields of ILD, PHTN, COPD and bronchiectasis have seen medical and technological improvements in the treatment of such diseases. This al activity will address different pharmacological agents as well as technological advances that have been approved for treatment of these diseases. These new agents and technologies should help improve outcomes and quality of life in patients. Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to link the al objectives to Core Competencies (Medical Knowledge) and: Accreditation Continuing Education Information Identify patients with PHTN Interpret test results and establish disease progression in PHTN Identify and distinguish UIP from other forms of ILD illnesses Describe the development of bronchiectasis and its treatment Recognize the availability of new technology to help the patients with severe COPD and other airway disorders The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical for physicians The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Conflict of Interest Discussion of Off-Label Use Registration All persons in the position to control the content of an activity are required to disclose all relevant financial relationships in any amount occurring within the past 12 months with any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing health care goods or services consumed by, or used on patients. A primary mechanism to resolve identified conflicts of interest is a content review that is prior to the activity. This course is meant to educate physicians with what is currently in use and what may be available in the future. There may be off-label use discussed in the activity. Speakers have been requested to inform the audience when off-label use is discussed. The registration fee entitles the participants to admission to the conference, all course materials, continental breakfast, refreshments at the break, and lunch during the meeting. Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of registration fee. We are unable to process any registration without payment. Please register early. Registration Fee - $100 Registration is confirmed upon receipt of registration fee. Refund Policy A $25 handling fee will be deducted from cancellation refunds. Refund requests must be received by mail or fax prior to February 1, No refunds will be made thereafter.
