2 GENERAL INFORMATION OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: Determine the maternal risks associated with preterm birth Assess familiar with the bacterial environment to which mothers and infants are exposed Identify the various causes and presentations of seizures in the neonate Determine the various contributing factors to the development of chronic lung disease in newborns Assess controversies regarding the management of patent ductus arteriosus in infants Determine best practices in assessing issues related to blood transfusions in newborns Examine early life influences resulting in adult diseases Appraise the developmental outcomes of neonates at school age Compare the pathophysiology of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia in newborns Recognize neonatal respiratory conditions associated with pulmonary hypertension Examine the potential role of stem cells therapy in neonatal conditions Update the indications for the use of caffeine in the newborn DATES: Sunday, November 11th thru Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 PLACE: Loews Miami Beach, Florida ACCOMMODATIONS: DELUXE GUEST ROOMS SERVICES FOR THE DISABLED: If special arrangements are required for an individual with a disability to attend this conference, contact the at and the Loews Miami Beach at at least 15 days prior to conference.
