3 Message from Your ACHE Regent Summer 2014 As summer moves into fall, it is time for us to explore opportunities ACHE provides to each of us. Perhaps the biggest of priorities is to encourage more of our colleagues to join and get involved with ACHE. The benefits of membership far outweigh the expectations ACHE places on members. Start encouraging your professional colleagues, especially those new to healthcare, to join ACHE. It has been a productive quarter for both Chapters in New Mexico and Southwest Texas in chapter membership growth, advancements, and sponsoring of educational opportunities. Each chapter has seen membership interest grow substantially simply because of the good promotion of chapter benefits to young healthcare professionals. Needless to say, this is the objective and I commend both chapters in New Mexico and Southwest Texas for achieving, actually, overachieving their goals. Congratulations! A reminder for 2014 Recertification for Fellows, you should go to my.ache.org to access your personalized online application to see how many continuing education credits you have earned and complete the recertification process. Eligible candidates must recertify by December 31, It has been a great summer and I look forward to hearing from you. I remain available to assist you in any way so feel free to call me at (505) or me at rwallace@sjrmc.net. All the best to you, Rick Wallace, D.Sc., FACHE President / CEO San Juan Regional Medical Center Regent for New Mexico & Southwest Texas
