Attendees will be given the tools needed to enact lasting change in patient flow metrics and elevate operational performance to unprecedented levels. Emphasis will be given to universal and proven optimization tactics that can be applied to any hospital regardless of setting, size or location. Whether your immediate needs are to decrease ED and PACU boarding, eliminate ambulance diversions, increase inpatient bed turns, decrease inpatient LOS or improve your hospital patient satisfaction. This workshop will provide you with the most effective and practical way to accomplish your institutional goals. ABOUT THE WORKSHOP LEADER: Emilio Belaval, MD, FAAEM is the President & Founder of Medical Strategies & Management Systems, LLC (MS2 Group), and also serves as Chairman of the Emergency Department at Morton Hospital & Medical Center. He has extensive healthcare leadership and management experience as a ED Chairman, Medical Director and CMO. As a consultant, Dr. Belaval has introduced several hospitals to business enterprise change methodologies and helped develop some of the most efficient hospital operations in the country. Dr. Belaval has lectured and published articles on patient flow redesign and hospital change management and routinely advises and collaborates with other healthcare consulting firms on patient flow redesign projects. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and completed his training at Boston Medical Center.
